Garden paradise, relaxed cosy accommodation " Siochain House"

Siochain meaning "peaceful" sums up this houses garden setting - a rambling hectare of flowering shrubs and mature trees.

The 3-bedroom farm cottage, located in a rural setting is an old home, carpeted and with basic amenities and facilities.
Its water and internet connections have limitations when their systems are stressed. Water comes from the Carterton Districts water supply so is safe to drink but being at the end of the line it does suffer from low water pressure.
The internet is unlimited but because it is via a phone connection it can be slow and erratic at times. Cell phone coverage can be spotty depending upon your provider.
The laundry room has a washing machine, freezer, toilet and shower (low water pressures). The kitchen area has a dining table, stove, fridge, microwave and 'coalrange' (wood provided) and is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cookware. The lounge has a sofa, armchairs and a smart TV. There are two queen bedrooms, and one twin singles bedroom which has one smaller bed suitable for short persons only. There is a bathroom with a basin and bath but with the low water pressure, filling it can be challenging.

Large windows in most of the rooms, give you amazing garden views. The deck is accessed from the lounge via a glass sliding door and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee serenaded by birdsong.

This property is unsuitable for persons with disabilities or cat allergies as there is a resident puss living on site. House entry is through a garage/function room and up shallow, moderately steep steps.

Points of interest is the historic "Sayers Slab Whare" located on the property and access to an additional private picnic retreat set in a native forested area with its own rambling creek where you can paddle and cool off (10-minute walk).

This home is surrounded by a working farm and its access is via a metalled road, farm track and a one-way bridge (no side panels). The road is suitable for all vehicles and in all weather conditions although it can be challenging to find :)
