We selected the Fairmont Dallas because of proximity to our weekends activities and having an excellent experience at the Fairmont Austin a few years ago. This location has great servers at the bar, but much of the rest of the stay was just average. Our arrival was delayed due to weather in the area and we were hungry and tired. Little did we know that food service stopped about the time we got checked in by the less than enthused front desk staff. The rooms are in need of an upgrade. We should have asked to switch rooms as the water pressure was nonexistent, the thermostat was difficult to control, and the linens were very rough and scratchy. Lesson learned - read all the reviews and make better choices for future travel.

The Fairmont was just okay. the price was pretty good, but after experiencing some other hotels, a far better experience can be found for $25-50 a day. We had to deal with a rave going on nearby and it took three calls to the desk to get any response. The property is not in great shape and the staff do not seem to like their jobs or the guests.
