Needs updating!!
First of all excellent location, short walk into town and harbour, very handy having permits for car park. However, this flat is very outdated and needs modernising and updating. The floors are very old and sticky the kitchen is dark and uninviting. When we first walked in it smelt old and shut up! We kept the windows constantly open to air the property. You can hear the flat upstairs and any movements and even their TV. They also have dogs which constantly bark in the evenings which isn’t great when you have small children trying to sleep. There is a communal washing machine but I didn’t use this as no airer to dry anything on. We were with family who were in a house next door so we spent time in their house and only used the flat to sleep in. We even used their shower as the flat shower is very claustrophobic. Such a shame as location wise it’s perfect.

Perfectly Positioned
We loved our week in Dartmouth! The owner, Peter, was charming and had a seating area specially built in the shady courtyard!! The flat is the ground floor of a larger historic house. It is compact but furnished with everything you need including very comfortable beds and good linen! Lovely bunch of flowers were a very nice touch too. The booking process couldn’t have been easier and John, the property manager was also very helpful. The situation of the flat overlooking the river as it does was absolutely perfect. My son loved the freedom of walking down to browse the bookshop and the occasional sample of fudge! There are DVDs, games and a good television if the weather goes against you but we were lucky. We hope to visit again.

Couldn't be better situated
The perfect spot. Close enough to local shops, with a view of the harbour to wake up to every morning. The property could do with a little modernisation but tbh it didn't take away from the overall experience. Peter was very welcoming.

Lovely location
A great stay, loved the location so handy for town and views across the Dart from just outside. Lots of boats coming and going to watch and good crabbing on the front. Comfortable accommodation and good host. Very helpful when we wanted to change our week

Disappointing
Whilst the accommodation was in an excellent location and the place was clean, we were disappointed, (having paid £522.00 for the week)for the following reasons: The toilet room and shower room are very very small. The toilet seat moved every time you sat on it. The hot water system is very antiquated. The Kitchen is tiny and could be better equipped especially the cutlery. The microwave needs replacing the button to open it is very temperamental River views were only possible if you stood up by the window and there were no cars in front of the wall.

Nice little cottage in the heart of Dartmouth
The location of the property is second to none as just a very short walk down a hill into the town. The property itself is a little dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up but was adequate for our five night stay. It was warm and cosy and the use of the parking permit which was recommended by the owner made parking easy as the car park was only a short walk away. Would definitely recommend Bayards Cove for a meal and even for a coffee.

Gorgeous Location
I have given this a 4 star rating but this is mainly due to the location of the property. It is so easy to get out and about from here and the car park pass was a must The host lives upstairs and is very helpful It could do with an update particularly in the shower which is like a cupboard and quite clastrophobic. Don't let this put you off though as the location cannot be beaten. Just round the corner from Bayard Cove which is my favourite spot

Fantastic Stay
We (my wife, 3yo daughter and I) stayed here in June 2023 for a week and loved it. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double and one with two single beds. The cottage was clean, and had everything we needed, and was perfect for us. The location is brilliant, it is a 5 minute walk into Dartmouth if you head up river, and a 10 minute walk to Dartmouth castle if you go down river. We left our car in the car park all week, and traveled by walking, by boat and by steam train. It's a lovely, peaceful and beautiful place and we can't wait to go back

Great location and friendly owners
Really friendly owners who checked in on us when we arrived and showed us how to use the parking permit and let us know if we needed anything to let them know. Location is just above Baynards Cove and is 3-4 minute walk to the waterfront. Never had a problem parking outside the property on an evening where it is free to park after 6pm until 9am the next day. Would stay here again if visiting Dartmouth.

Beautiful Dartmouth
We had a great time in Dartmouth over the 2 weeks. The house has all you need and it’s very close to town. Just over the road you can sit on the bench and enjoy a morning coffee and the wonderful view of the river, boats and Kingswear across the river. You are a 5 min walk from coffee shops, restaurants and a 15 min walk from the castle. Highly recommended.

Excellent location
The property is all you need as a base. It couldn’t be better situated. I worried after reading some reviews but these people must have been people who just sit in all day! The value for money for this area is great, yes the bathrooms are a bit dated but other than that it has everything you need. The car park you have a permit for is a short walk and evening time you can usually park on the road outside. The owner lives upstairs and he is lovely and so helpful. There is so much to do here. We would go back.
