My wife and I stayed one night, and I think we were glad it was only for one night. It was generally quite run down with fly screens that were ripped, and a couch that was falling apart. The cottage itself was pretty stuffy without the windows open, but with the windows open the ripped flyscreens let a lot of insects into the room.
We didn't get a great sleep on the bed that was provided, but the worst thing is that we both woke up with really bad rashes all over our body, which we suspect was from the linen that was provided - we'd never experienced anything like it before.
We were also surprised to read about a potential surcharge for cleaning if we didn't take out the rubbish ourselves or left the toilet/shower too unclean. It would have been nice to have been pre-warned about that before booking, and it makes us wonder if the cottages get cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis.
