Honestly, they serve the worst breakfast anywhere among decent hotels. Poor service, limited crockery/cutlery, recycled food from previous night’s buffet, poor menu choices - the list can go on and on. Even water is not served or placed on the tables. The bathroom in my room was very user unfriendly involving a steep climb and drop into the bath tub - a sure shot nightmare for seniors.

New Delhi has the worst air quality so a visitor would hope that the accomodation options would offer a haven away from this issue. Sadly the hotel made no attempt to keep the poor quality air out.

I would not stay here again.
The entrance was beautiful. Modern. Clean. The room was much older in comparison. It had a terrible smell and a damp feel. I would not stay here again.

It is good enough for 3-4 star but can't justify 5 stars given to the property just due to location as star rating for me means service. Expectations rise when a property has 5 star rating. The staff is very polite but when requested service or food they would assure they heard you but everything goes AWOL after that. We had to change rooms because of cleanliness issues and I don't think robes were cleaned as we found old coffee sachets in the pocket. It was very disappointing as we had 5-star expectation and paid higher price due to festive season too.

This is a good choice for your Delhi stay.
The Metropolitan Hotel was a great oasis for our trip to Delhi. Every need was accommodated. The breakfast was a lovely large buffet with many Indian and western choices. The room was very comfortable. I would stay again.

Will never use this hotel ever again due to some of the staff being not attentive and rude. 1. When we checked in, the reception guy that was dealing with us, got us to wait whilst attending another customer whom is currently staying at the hotel and attended to his query. These are all European or English people. 2. A few of the canteen staff were only attentive to the Europeans and didn’t care if we needed more coffee or drinks but table next to us got asked constantly. 3. We had to leave at 7am for a tour and ask the receptionist can we come in 15 minutes early to get a coffee and fruit before we left and he said he can’t do that, then asked him if they could pack something for us and he said no. 2 days later another couple got all they packed breakfast for their tour. Have spoken to the manager and he seems nice and apologetic which was nice but never again this hotel and puts me off Delhi.

Pre Covid-19, when in Delhi we used to always stay at this hotel. It was a 'no tip hotel' which made things quite easy for us. This time when we entered it seemed like a completely different hotel. We were disappointed at the size of the room. The hotel has lost its class and charm. The ergonomics in the bathroom were odd. Breakfast Buffet wasn't that good. The buffet was placed in a disorganised manner. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our TV did not work from day one, and the telephone too. Only two devices were allowed on the wifi which made things a bit difficult. What was further disappointing was that they charged us 6000 rupees plus tax for delayed check out. The hotel is located in a very convenient area. Access to many attractions and shopping is easy. It was generally quite clean as well.

A very good experience staying in this hotel. Very clean room, fruits an cookies were provided at the room daily. Excellent food at the restaurante and very good attention at the bar. Highly recommended.
