BEWARE. The other reviews are right. Our room had a ANNOYINGLY LOUD air conditioning unit that DOES NOT LET YOU SLEEP. When I received my receipt, they OVERCHARGED my daily room rate. Total is $190 OVER and receipt states higher room rates, so it's not additional fees, deposits, or incidentals of any kind. This is a GLORIFIED AIR BNB with instagram marketing. Nothing more. That nice picture of the lobby, it's the restaurant, not a common area.
I've stayed at "self-managed" hotels before but was always able to get someone on the phone if there was an issue. Service here is essentially non-existent unless you can find the person that works in the restaurant that also works at the "hotel", or if you speak Spanish and communicate with the cleaning staff. (Who were very nice.) If you try to reach the property number, NO ONE ANSWERS. If you try to reach them via chat, aside from the morning of my check-in, (the restaurant girl was there) NO ONE ANSWERS. I tried Expedia, and they CAN'T GET THROUGH TO THE HOTEL. On their website, their "support" link DOES NOT WORK.
As for the AC unit, you figure no big deal, just turn it off. YOU CAN'T TURN IT OFF! If the basic role of a hotel room is to sleep in at night, this place is an ABSOLUTE FAILURE.
