Lots to do in and near hotel
It is a lovely, though rambling hotel. Our room was not as clean as in previous visits and there was no spare toilet rolls. Housekeeping were v efficient though and brought some along.

Nice stay but noisy at times
We have stayed several times before & always like to come back. Unfortunately this time there were some issues with noise early on the Sunday morning. Doors are very loud when closing & there were children running up & down the corridor & general noise. I think where our room was located did not help. Overall stay was good but not being woken up at 7am on the Sunday morning.

Brilliant stay
Went away for my birthday. Plans were cancelled due to bad weather. Facilities brilliant. The staff went above and beyond and were amazing and made our stay even better. The food is nice but a bit expensive. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!

Very pleased with our stay. Breakfast options were very good. We had a meal on the Sunday evening which was as good as anything I've ever tasted. And really well presented. I'd like to add that the receptionist who was on duty on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived couldn't have been more helpful. Ten out of ten
