The Palms of Destin Resort features a 2,265 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center including elliptical cardio treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and summit trainers each having a personal entertainment system.

The Palms of Destin offers full size basketball courts and two lighted tennis courts, with complimentary equipment available from guest services in the resort lobby. The Palms of Destin also offers lessons and clinics taught by USPTA and USPTR tennis professionals.

Nice family stay
This was our first time in Destin. My wife found the listing. It was easy to check-in and the pool was nice. Our son swam everyday. The beach was just a walk across the street but we had a great time at the Palms. The bistro inside was decent, good food and they had live music each night. The coffeehouse was also a nice touch, good coffee. Nice little area especially if you have a family. The condo itself was nice, overlooked the pool and had a nice little balcony and patio furniture. It stocked with essentials for our stay. We will definitely come back again.

Perfect in every way, pool area a nice tropical paradise experience and so many amenities within it was like the pergect islandvto enjoy. Foors in our unit could have been vaccummed better little sand left behind, but other than that great staff well ran resort. Great Time you wont be sorry.

Family friendly 4th floor unit overlooking pool
Why I picked this place? Massive pool area with additional heated pool and large hot tub. Also I wanted to keep my 5 day a week exercise routine on track and this property allowed me to do that. Large gym with plenty of machines. If you plan to go to the beach a lot there are a couple public beaches on the other side of 98 but they are very small because most of the beaches are private.

Great location! Everything was close by; shopping, dining, beaches & entertainment. The condo was clean and matched the listing. The facility has a nice layout, a coffee/lunch cafe plus a workout facility, a pool with an outside bar, and nightly entertainment until 11. Plus, you can order room service! The only downside is that because the condo is pool-facing, you will hear all pool activity. Some families use the pool until after midnight, so the talking, laughing, and kids playing (screaming) will keep you up. Overall great stay; everyone was pleasant and helpful.

Outdated and Dirty
This particular unit is very outdated and in bad need of painting & simple repairs. Both toilet paper holders were broken and only attached by one screw, so we’re basically inoperable. Tables and lamps were dusty and lightbulbs burned out. Appeared as though someone sneezed on main TV. Would not recommend this unit or Real Joy. For a professional host (RealJoy leases a lot of places on VRBO), they do not use cleaning fees for cleaning. It’s fairly rare that we stay in a clean RealJoy unit and will do our best to stay clear of them in the future. If you’re looking to rent in Destin, you can find homes on the beach that are comparable in price to this unit that appear to be much nicer and closer to the beach. We’re kind of upset that we didn’t check that out before renting this run down unit.

A bit disappointed
Overall the unit serves its purpose. I read a ton of reviews on properties and this one didn’t have bad reviews so we went with it. The location is great and we knew we’re going to pay what we did ,but for the money we should have had at least a clean place to stay. There is dust cakes on all light fixtures , furniture and cabinets. Floors needed to be sweeped, bathrooms were dirty, kitchen did not nearly have bough that we needed for cooking coffee pot was dirty. And most of all the washer and dryer smelt of mold so after washing all of our clothes they smelt worse than they did before. And of all things the day before we left we saw the one thing that would have been a deal breaker from day one “a roach “!!! Sad because this is a good location but the photos are much deceiving. I did see this propert was listed for sale just a few weeks before our trip so maybe the owner dropped the ball. I would highly recommend giving it a good deep clean and update all the furniture especially the so called second room and high has a squeaky toddler like bed. ;(

Good… but could use updating.
The couches could use updating. One is scratchy fabric, and the sleeper sofa was hard and uncomfortable to sit on. The second bedroom is very small. It’s awkward for a guest sleeping in the living room to access the bathroom by walking through this other small bedroom. The kitchen and master bath was nice. We loved the pool!

Very Dirt Room, Very busy resort..
Room was very Dirty. As in nobody cleaned it but I was still charged a room cleaning fee..Urine on floors, old food at the bottom of the trash can..Floors Dusty and Dirty, not even swept let alone mopped.Resort pool was very nice, though resort is very crowded and good luck finding carts to bring up your luggage. Will not return, Would only recommend this place for a very young crowd.

We had a good time in Destin. My only complain is the living room couch, bedding and bathrooms were dirty. There was sand on the floor right when we got there. We swept the whole condo on arrival and found a lot of hairs.

Not what I expected
The pool and Restaurant was very nice and met my expectations. However, the room didn’t have the necessary amenities that we normally have on our family vacations. The room was sold to us as a 2 bedroom unit and was no more than a closet made into a sleeping area. The bed took up a good portion of the room leaving no space for a dresser or closet for hanging clothes. The washer and dryer also was pushed against the wall making the living space even more cramped. We were very disappointed with the way the unit was presented to us would have rethought our purchase. You should be more transparent on how the rooms are set up before presenting them to your customers. The hallways were dirty and the smell of smoke and marijuana was coming through the vents. Not a place for a family vacation.

Great place for families
My husband and I stayed for a week with our 3 kids (8-10) this October. The unit was very nice and had plenty of room for us. It was a short walk to the beach and the pool was beautiful. It was a little cooler our last few days so it was nice to have the options of the heated pool and the hot tub. The music at the pool bar was great and we spent many mornings and evenings sitting on the balcony listening to the music. It was convenient to have a restaurant/bar and coffee shop on the property. A short walk to The Candymaker and The Back Porch which we visited multiple times.
