Compare Cheap Hotels in Papua New Guinea

I’ve stayed at a few hotels in Port Moresby, and The Stanley is my favourite. There are a lot of things to love. First if you like a hotel with a great pool, then the Stanley is for you. I’ve noticed that at other POM hotels the pools are often located very near the restaurant, which can make you feel a little self conscious about being in a bathing suit in front of all the diners. At the Stanley the pool is both large and is on the 5th floor, with its own dedicated space not anywhere near the main restaurant, which is on the ground floor. Another thing to love about the Stanley is its fabulous gym — lots of treadmills, bikes, weight machines, and a separate room where you can stretch. I also loved my room, which was large, quiet, and had a comfortable bed and good TV options. And I loved the plush carpeting in the hallways — really, really soft. Room service was good and fast. And the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Love staying here! Staff is always kind, friendly and most helpful. They really make you feel welcome and valued as a guest. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. From the GM, people at the reception, the spa ladies, to the people at the restaurant, security, everyone was wonderful! This was my 3rd trip and I can’t wait to come again! Airways hotel is beautiful. The design of the ground floor lobby area in particular is lovely and serene. I also really liked the cafe adjacent to the main restaurant - the freshly made juices are great. The array of options available at the buffet breakfast in the main restaurant is wonderful and includes eggs made to order. I wish there had been a bedside lamp in the room. I like to read before sleeping, and only having an overhead light is not optimal. Also the pool was pretty warm, and thus not as refreshing as it could be. But overall I really loved staying here.
