The lobby was clean and staff was friendly. When walking to my room the hallway carpet looked dirty and stained. There was nothing special about the room but the bathtub felt like it was broken. When stepping in the tub it was spongy and started popping like it was cracked but the tub liner held everything together. The water didn't drain well and by the time my quick shower was done there was 2 inches of water standing in the tib that took a few minutes to drain. I notified the front desk on checkout. The air conditioning worked great, and for being pretty close to I-75 it wasnt that bad for noise.

Stayed in the jetted tub room. We didn't realize until check in there was no balcony which sucked. Room was clean but a little older looking. Our TV didn't work however since he didn't get back til late, we didn't bother.

Great room, unsure about practices.

It was a good stay other than being charged a $50 dollar deposit that didnt even post till the day of check out an is supposedly to be returned but I'm not unsure if it will. I left the room in clean condition without violating any rules. There is no reason to keep the deposit.

Hood Hotels - The Projects

We had to cancel our room because of a power outage. Normally hotels are where you stay during a power outage but there were no backup generators to accommodate the stay. There were several disgruntled patrons that were stuck in the lobby and two people almost were stuck in the elevator. The staff were very apologetic and accommodating. But they were left without options. And it was very sad to watch them try to turn a bad situation into something good when they were left on their own with a lack of clear direction or resources from their management team. I will never stay there again. I was in a jetted tub room and was not able to use it because of the power outage. The continental breakfast was my first red flag. Just waffles and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. I expected better but at least they fed us.

Power Outage

Power was out for about 3+ hours and there was no additional compensation for the guest that were already checked in. There were stains on the ceiling, hallways were super hot. Lots of needed renovations required.
