The apartment style rooms gave a home away from home feel. You cannot beat the location of the hotel giving no more than a 10 minute walk to most popular downtown locations.

We had really high hopes for our first stay, the building, the room, the on site amenities were all amazing. However - this was the worst, most uncomfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in. Even worse the bed frame was so poorly constructed that even the slightest movement in bed was aggressively loud. Instead of staying for breakfast or brunch, we got up exhausted with back pain and left early morning. Crazy it’s a long term stay option if they upgrade their mattresses and frames, this place would be a winner. Really disappointed.

Roost is a wonderful place to stay in downtown Detroit. Staff is super friendly and the apartment was clean and stylish. Location is walkable to many restaurants, bars, Ford Field…Go Lions! The list goes on and on. We’ve already booked Roost again for the next game. Can’t wait!

We had a fire alarm within an hour of arriving. Everybody out on the street . Obviously safety comes first . Fire department arrived and we were sent to end of block . Temp was -10 c .. no communication or direction or coordination from hotel staff .. we were left wander the streets and had to call to see if we could get back in . Other than that the stay was super

The staff was very accommodating. Loved the central location, multiple seating areas were great to chill and people watch and there are lots of dining options. We really enjoyed the rooftop lounge. Make reservations if you plan on visiting the on-site bars and restaurants, they get packed!
