At this point you will find a detached holiday home with a fully fenced garden in the vineyards in a free, scenic location. It lies away from the manageable place and embedded in the foothills of the Mecsek Mountains. In the middle of the surrounding vineyards, it is an ideal starting point for hikes through nature. You benefit from a central location, very cheap for day trips to Lake Balaton and to interesting cultural cities. A trip to the state capital Budapest would also be conceivable.

The old Hungarian country house was renovated by the German owners with great attention to detail in its original form and attractively refurbished. With a living area of 82 m², the two-storey house has two comfortable living / bedrooms that can accommodate up to four guests. In addition to a fully equipped separate dining kitchen, you will also be offered a contemporary shower room with toilet. The extensive equipment also includes German-language satellite television, books and board games. Fresh linen and towels are also regularly included in the rental price. The floor plan with the two living rooms / bedrooms is ideal for a family vacation or a vacation for two friends who are friends, as you are offered sufficient retreat options as you wish. The first living room and bedroom is on the ground floor and is comfortably furnished in Chippendale style. You sleep in a double bed with headboard and footboard, which is surrounded by double-sided bedside tables with reading lamps. In addition to the bed, the comfortable seating group consisting of a three-seater and two armrest chairs offers relaxation after a day trip. The second bedroom is the spacious roof studio, beautifully clad with wooden panels, in which there is a double bed and a sofa set. Depending on the weather, you have a great view of the sunset here. The heart of the house is the eat-in kitchen, which is equipped with a dishwasher, a stove with an oven, and the usual small electrical appliances such as a coffee machine and toaster. In the bathroom there is a glass shower cubicle, a toilet and a hand wash basin.

To prevent misunderstandings, we would like to point out a few points here:
The Leitenhof was created from an old Hungarian country house, which we have lovingly renovated and refurbished in the original style.
The living room / bedroom in the retrofitted roof studio can be reached via a narrow, open wooden staircase. The entrance door to the staircase leads like the door to the kitchen and living room / bedroom on the ground floor to the covered veranda in front of the house.
The old country house did not have its own bathroom and only a "outhouse". Since there was no space in the house for this, we built a massive extension outside and installed a nice bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The extension is about 10 meters from the house and can be reached via tread plates in the meadow. A water boiler delivers warm water.
There is currently only cold water in the kitchen. There is hot water in the bathroom or with the help of a kettle.
The water supply comes from a well or, in case of prolonged drought, from a water reservoir. The groundwater from the well is drinkable, we recommend that you do not drink water from the reservoir as a precaution. In addition, we provide a sufficient amount of drinking water in a container.

Beautiful seats and loungers right by the house invite you to linger on the large, fenced property in the middle of fragrant fruit trees and vines and let your soul dangle. These are also ideal for a hearty barbecue party. End the evening with a glass of the owner's good, in-house wine. The only 500 meters away, free with usable vineyard hut with a great view of the valley also invites you to barbecue, snacks or just relax in a deck chair or on the Hollywood swing.

On site, tame ponies Rebecca and Barny are welcome to ride. Dogs are welcome everywhere, even in the house. Dog lovers will find an in-house dog training area with exercise equipment just a kilometer away.

Please note that the holiday home can be easily reached from the valley via a short, five-minute walk through the forest, which can also be driven on with a suitable car. The landlords are happy to take over the transport of luggage and purchases to the holiday home with their jeep on request.

The fresh, clear forest air can be really enjoyed on an extensive hike through the surrounding vineyards. Good riding and fishing opportunities can be found in the surrounding area of 5 to 8 kilometers as well as excellent restaurants with Hungarian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Gunaras Thermal and Medicinal Bath also offers a wide range of wellness and spa services just 5 km away. The nearest small town Dombóvár with many shops, good restaurants, bars and cafes is only about 8 kilometers away. During your stay you can get to know the diverse leisure and rich cultural offerings in the surrounding area on interesting excursions. The newly built medieval theme park in Bikál is only 15 km away. The European Capital of Culture Pécs and the flower city Kaposvár are only about 40 kilometers, the Lake Balaton about 65 kilometers and about 120 kilometers to the state capital Budapest, which is always worth a day trip. For water enthusiasts, the Orfü Lake, 25 km away, offers everything your heart desires, and dogs are also allowed here. These include bathing beaches, boat docks and fishing facilities. In addition, water sports such as sailing and windsurfing can be practiced there. Those interested in culture can take advantage of the many museums and observation towers on offer.

Schönes Landhaus
Da kleine renovierte Landhaus im ungarischen Stil ist schön und liegt sehr ruhig. Leider steht in der Beschreibung von FeWo nicht direkt das es in einem Steilhang steht und nur über einen holprigen unebenen Feldweg zu erreichen ist der auf der Vorderseite als Steilhang beginnt und nur mit einem geländegängigen Fahrzeug oder gleich mit einem Geländewagen zu erreichen ist, was eigentlich die Besitzer auch angegeben haben jedoch wird es bei FeWo nicht ausführlich beschrieben. Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein da es schwer ist im Dunklen die Steigung und die Absätze zu sehen. Das Besitzerehepaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Ferienhaus mitten im Weinberg, Aussicht auf den Ort, sehr gepflegt, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, H Müller war behilflich, das Gepäck hoch zu fahren, da das Ferienhaus am Berg liegt und nur mit Geländewagen erreichbar ist, sonst alles ok. Für Individualisten, die die Natur und Abgeschiedenheit suchen nur empfehlenswert.
