This was our 4th stay at the Manor House over the years. Loctaion still brilliant though terrace & lawns rather spoiled by the pub-style tables that have now been dumped all over the place. I’d say it’s now more of a pub with rooms rather than a destination. Yes they’re well geared up for weddings and stuff but not for the discerning Dorset traveller. Food and decor all a bit tired. Overall, disappointed. There are now many better places to consider.

“Bridal suite” ?
We asked for the best room when booking and were allocated the “bridal suite” . Sadly it was in desperate need of a refurbishment. Paint peeling and carpet moth - with moths active at night. More of a “divorce suite” . We were moved to the top floor for our second night. Smaller but clean and ecorated with good carpets. Service was good. Food good and location good. Just needs the main bedrooms upgrading

We had a very comfortable overnight stay at the Manor Hotel. Our room was well equipped and very clean and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast this morning. The service was welcoming and friendly. The menu for lunch and dinner was wide ranging and the quality high. We would like to return sometime soon.

Dorset delight
A couple of nights stay near Chesil Beach made brilliant by The Manor House. Staff all lovely, friendly and helpful and the location near the beach is just a delight. We had a seaview room and brilliant sunny weather but losing yourself in looking out to sea would be great whatever the weather. Food and selection of drinks excellent as was the availability of different areas to dine. Bedroom was comfortable and clean (although perhaps a bit of redecorating would be beneficial- but was not a reason to complain just an observation) Location, food, drink, staff brilliant. Shame we only had 2 nights...

Very difficult to contact hotel before arruval. 3 calls and one email ignored. Only email to book evening meal was acknowledged. Food ok but some common items sold out. Glasses and some cutlery not throughly clean.

Wonderful hotel in stunning location
We had a fabulous stay. Service was great and breakfast was amazing. Lots to choose from and good quality food. Room was very comfortable Only slight negative was that breakfast only started at 8.30 where we'd have liked it a bit earlier so could get out in good time for days out
