Really lovely hotel, I believe we were upgrade to a large suite across the road from the main hotel which was a lovely surprise - large rooom, l shape sofa
Great location
My room was really dark and wallpaper was very dirty in places, it was also peeling from the walls in many areas..in the shower tray there was some black mould, i was shocked for a boutique hotel,at breakfast my daughter asked for some ketchup...they had none !!
The property is very clean and staff very pleasant. I had to continuously ask for additional towels. Not enough were left in the washroom. Also noticed that they never replenished items in bathroom like soap, shower cap and used items in the bathroom. The cleaning service should replenish items once items are consumed from bathroom.
The room that we had was far too hot even after they gave us a fan so we couldn't get to sleep. The breakfast was very poor so all in all we weren't impressed.
We were to check in at 3 and couldn’t until 5.30- we had a concert so this really caused an issue …
Everyone was the same with a wedding also going on it was chaos and I felt bad for the staff as clearly not their fault but I don’t know how a hotel can charge over £200 for a stay and have all guests waiting in the foyer for 2 and a half hours …some people where offered a voucher for a drink at the bar but we weren’t and there was no compensation
I will also say I understand staff under pressure but they where arguing in front of us and it just made everyone really uncomfortable and it was unprofessional with one worker having an attitude with certain guests for asking about their room- again we understood they where under pressure but this worker wasn’t sympathising with the fact that people had to get into their rooms …there also was minimal workers and no manager so really just badly run and we wouldn’t come back or recommend
We had one of the bigger suites, which was a really good size, and the room was clean. The bed was one of the comfiest we've slept in in a hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We did have some issues with our door card, which was inconvenient as we were in the building across the road from reception and it was pouring with rain at the time. This happened twice. The second time was at night and we had to go looking for a member of staff as there was nobody at reception.
The breakfast was good, although there seems to be a lot of surcharges for certain things which was disappointing when you've paid for bed and breakfast.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The reception was warm & friendly but we were surprised to have been roomed across the road. The main dining room was closed & ended up having to dine in the greyhound room with our guests. Our guests Jan & Brian Broadbridge had a very unfortunate accident when leaving the reception when Brian slipped and hit his head & had a deep cut to his forearm. The staff were on duty had not been trained to deal with the accident, the first aid box was empty & it took time to deal with the situation. The accident was due to the steps out side reception being extremely wet & slippery.
An accident report has been submitted & I would like you to follow this up with me as they were my guests.

The worst hotel we stayed over 3 weeks in Ireland. We waited half an hour to check in at 3:00 pm only to be told the room was not ready. They asked us to sit on very dirty lounge furniture and we waited another half hour. The room was just very old and smelled of vomit . The view was on the huge ugly black pipes. We felt horrible and complained. So they gave us another room on 3rd floor, which had no windows except in the roof.
The bed was most uncomfortable and I think it had bed bugs. Definitely not 4 star experience. We stayed at the Titanic previously which was incredible, it is also 4 star but totally different experience.
