Basic, small room but fully equipped and importantly it had a very good comfortable bed. At the price point offered it was excellent value for money. Be aware the hotel is in a lively part of Dublin and is over a large pub but if you ask for a quiet room at the back they will oblige.
Excellent reception and check in. Very friendly. Very good optional breakfast with unlimited coffee in the pub below.
Very convenient for anyone with business in D2 Harcourt office zone.
Both the room and public areas were dirty when I arrived and did not receive attention from staff. A bucket for a leak was left in the middle of the hallway full of water for several days and everything smelled of mold in the area. Cleaners entered my room daily but didn’t vacuum the grit that was on the floor when I checked in or switch out towels that were left in the bathtub per instructions. The cooling stopped working in the middle of the night and staff were unable to fix it or switch my room. Management was unresponsive to issues and the manager talked over me when I attempted to speak to him. This place definitely did not live up to the expectations set by other reviews.
The rooms are nice but the walls are paper thin. You don't so much hear the pub as you do the other rooms. The place is an absolute maze with a million fob access only doors. The check in staff were lovely but the access made the stay a bit weird. For example when I left the room to get an early flight but my friend stayed in the room and I couldn't exit as I didn't have a room key and had to yell for W cleaner to rescue me. Everything was comfortable
The staff was very accommodating. Also really appreciated that the room could be made up as a twin or as a double. The commitment to sustainability was also apparent: No disposable cups. The only thing lacking was the selection of TV channels.
A sprawling complex formed from an erstwhile convent, with a very large bar and restaurant on two levels. Lots of nice aesthetic touches. If it’s a busy bar night, you may want to skirt around the crowd, which you can do. The rooms are quiet. Well located. Cheap breakfast options. A very good deal for Dublin.
The room was extremely comfortable. The layout of the hotel was quirky but I enjoyed it! Good location—out of the way of the main area enough that you get a more neighborhood experience but close enough that you can easily walk to the main tourist attractions.
Really appreciated our stay here, they let us check in early in the morning on the first day of our trip which allowed us to sleep and not have any jet lag. Room was nice and location was within walking distance of everything. Breakfast is affordable and delicious. The hotel does get busy in the evenings with people enjoying a few pints downstairs, but the noise was minimal in the room. Overall a solid choice.
This was my second time staying at Keavin's port! The staff, the property, the rooms, the dining, etc. are all excellent. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Dublin. It's conveniently located and you can't beat the price.
