We recently stayed at the Ruby Molly Hotel and overall had a great experience. The hotel was immaculately clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming from check-in to checkout. Our room was perfectly sized for two people, with just the right amount of space to be comfortable without feeling cramped.
One of the highlights was the hotel bar, which was a fantastic place to unwind in the evening. The bartenders clearly know their craft — the drinks were well-made and delicious.
Breakfast, while tasty, felt a bit overpriced for what was offered, so it might be worth exploring nearby cafés instead.
The location was a bit of a double-edged sword. Being slightly out of the way made the area pleasantly quiet, but it also didn’t feel especially lively or inviting after dark. I wouldn’t call it unsafe — just not the most vibrant walk at night. It’s about a 15-minute walk to O’Connell Street and the city center, so plan accordingly if you like being in the middle of the action.
Overall, the Ruby Molly is an excellent choice if you value cleanliness, comfort, and a great in-house bar, and don’t mind being a short walk from Dublin’s busiest areas.
