A great location and friendly staff. This hotel is a heritage hotel as it says in its name but met our needs. There was a restaurant in this hotel but lots of places to eat in the area.

Super central to everything; Toitu museum, railway station, eateries & cafes - & included parking was a bonus. This hotel has charm, was clean & tidy; i will definetly stay here again.

My mother checked us in, said she got a cold reception. Free parking across the road. Very old and dated with scary lift that closes superfast (there is a sign on the lift) - the receptionist was not sure if it was working which did not put a lot of faith in it when she said she thought it was fixed. The cold water tap was really noisy and made a huge noise when turned on. Bed was really soft and aged. Not a pleasant nights sleep.

Old fashioned value and convenience
This is a good old fashioned hotel from a bygone era that offers a clean and comfortable stay in the heart of the city at a reasonable price. You can’t tell a book by its cover.
