This hotel although beautiful on the outside and the rooms shown in the pictures quite nice, we found ours needed an upgrade. Holes in the wall from torn out hooks or pictures. bed was uncomfortable. Walls need a new paint job. Our room was next to the cleaning and maintenance room where the staff had the door open during the day and loud music. Our also face the Police station next door where their sirens went of a couple of times and very busy. However I must say we felt safe.

Great central location, secure parking (additional cost), clean spacious 1 bedroom apartment. When I arrived the reception was closed, had to wait 15 minutes for my call to be picked up for the key code to get my room key. Stayed 3 nights and had my rubbish bin empty once otherwise house keeping did not service my room at all. No extra milk given, tea, coffee, washing powder and dish washing powder all ran out.

Staff were super friendly and the room was spotlessly clean. The only gripe I have is that my room wasn't serviced while I was out (given the price paid, I expected it to be serviced at least to replace the tea bags!), but I was able to collect some replacement amenities at reception.

We stated for two nights and made booking for two bedrooms. We got a suite with a main door leading to two spacious bedrooms, an ensuite, two basic kitchenette’s and two separate bathrooms. The location was five minutes walk from town centre and Dunedin railway station. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
