Excellent location, the food was magnificent. The staff very friendly and helpful. Walk the Fairy Glen, spectacular and easy for kids. Don’t be drawn to the “fairy ring” very recent and silly compared to the geology of the area. Will stay here again!
Good location, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Uig is convenient to the whole Trotternish peninsula. Uig harbour is being completely refurbished for the ferry. Options of where to eat.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Our hosts were extremely helpful and informative. They even called the day of to confirm whether we wanted a dinner reservation. The room had an amazing view. It was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Excellent rooms ( big bathtub, comfortable bed) with a great breakfast and afternoon tea service. 5 minute walk to downtown, so need to find parking. Great staff.
I stayed at Uig for two nights as part of a week solo trip around Scotland. It was the perfect hotel for me and had everything I needed. The food in this place is gorgeous!! Both dinner and breakfast I had both times and I was not disappointed. I stayed in a single room which was good enough for me, I would recommend updating some of the furniture in the actual room as the bathroom looks a lot more modern compared. The units looked a bit tired and the TV was the size of my iPad but overall it was clean, comfy and quiet. The views from the front of the hotel are incredible, having a drink on the benches outside with that view was a treat. It’s also only around 6 minutes drive away from The Fairy Glen. The staff were lovely and polite and ever so helpful. Would recommend staying here or even going just for food!
The Uig hotel is a great place to stay while visting Isle of Skye. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and it has a great location. I highly recommend.
Initially had a 3 night stay planned but had to be cut short due to my car breaking down en route to the hotel. Due to limited facilities on Skye and breakdown recovery availability my friends and i had to return home earlier.
Helen was amazing. Extremely helpful, understanding and accommodating. Could only stay for one night. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and updated to a high standard. Wish to have stayed longer but will be back
Used the Uig hotel twice in a week, once to eat at before we got the ferry to Harris the other to stay a night (and again have dinner) after coming back on the ferry some days later. It’s very convenient for ferry travellers. The restaurant is very good but you do need to reserve in advance as it gets busy. Room a little tired but a great view of the bay. For only a night it was adequate, usuals of tea&coffee making provided, warm towel rail and a comfy bed. The staff work really hard and are very pleasant. For a short stay and for ferry travellers we would highly recommend the Uig hotel.
