Sullivan County is noted for its beautiful scenery and wildlife, creating a perfect setting for many outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, swimming, camping, and many civic events during all seasons. This is the perfect area for a get-away.

Ricketts Glen harbors Glens Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark. Take the Falls Trail and explore the Glens, which boast a series of wild, free-flowing waterfalls, each cascading through rock-strewn clefts in this ancient hillside. The 94-foot Ganoga Falls is the highest of 22 named waterfalls. Old growth timber and diverse wildlife add to the scenic area. Ricketts Glen State Park is one of the most scenic areas in Pennsylvania.

Worlds End State Park is in a narrow S-shaped valley of the Loyalsock Creek just south of Forksville, Sullivan County. Enjoy the 10 Must See Waterfalls and the Loyalsock Canyon Vista, reached via Mineral Spring and Cold Run roads, provides outstanding views, especially during fall foliage.

While in Sullivan County, take a moment to view three covered bridges, numerous scenic overlooks and museum in Laporte. Enjoy a visit to historic Eagles Mere and browse through the arts and crafts shops, or enjoy the exhilarating Toboggan Slide in the winter. Visit the small towns and villages, stop in at the general stores and visit with local folks, whom you will find very friendly and helpful.

Dushore's unique location and close proximity to two of PA's most beautiful State Parks, Rickett's Glen and World's End, make it the perfect home-base for upstate PA activities. Known as the only stoplight in the area, businesses like the Jolly Trolley, Whistle Stop, Rail Car Shop, and Hotel Harrington reflect the town's railroad and ice cream history. Kast Pond is a perfect spot for fishing or a picnic. St Basil's Church, built by German immigrants, is a picturesque sight on the hill above the town. Founder's Day in August is a highlight of the summer. The outhouse races, keg races and a full day of events draw large crowds. There are several wineries within a 15-minute drive. Five miles from town, hikers can engage the Loyalsock Trail, part of the Appalachian Trail. Founded in 1859, the town is named after a Frenchman who ventured from France to Philadelphia to the French Asylum, where he was given the area of Dushore to farm.

We all are a group of photographers that enjoyed your property to the fullest. The Hemlock trail was gorgeous and inviting, as you enter the path you see all the beautiful colors of leaves and then you come across a stream of water. The sound of the water and the beautiful fall colors just put you in a tranquil state of mind. A lovely place. Thank you for the opportunity for opening your home for guest to enjoy.

Trip to fairy tale
The house is wonderful. The extraordinary harmony of modernity and antiquity creates an amazing atmosphere of fairy tale. The state-of-the-art kitchen is equipped with smart and functional equipment, perfectly combined with the exhibits of the past that are not ashamed to be displayed in a historical museum. But the point is that these are not exhibits, they are a fragment of this house, which were used by real people who lived in this house and made its history. Nature around deserves separate words. Each element of the landscape so naturally flows into another, and all together they create a charming corner of nature that you can not get tired of watching. Special thanks to Bob Jankowsky for his speed in solving minor problems and his communication skills, from the first minutes of staying in his house created a good mood for all the time staying at this wonderful house. Thank you, Bob

Whispering Willows Farm is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. It is clean and very well supplied with towels and wash cloths. The modern kitchen is well equipped and includes spices, some coffee, and aluminum foil etc. The new fifth bedroom and bathroom downstairs is beautiful. I strongly recommend this place and the host.

Amazing stay
We had a great time at the house! The property and The scenery was amazing! There were no neighbors, beautiful skies and you can hear all the birds and frogs singing away. The house has everything we needed. The pond wasn't huge, but good enough to jump in and swim. It's next to a state park that has boat rentals, hikes and beaches. Overall great experience.

Nature's Serenade at Whispering Willows Farm
Our family had an absolutely delightful time staying at Whispering Willows Farm! From the moment we arrived, it was clear we had chosen a special place for our retreat. The nearly two-century-old farmhouse radiates charm, surrounded by vast private acreage that beckons to be explored. We spent hours sitting on the expansive porch, sipping hot cider and gazing out over the water, watching the wildlife. Deer, rabbits, and birds kept us company as we unwound from our busy lives. The trails winding through the forests and streams were ideal for leisurely walks to enjoy the stunning natural scenery. One particular trail that captivated us was the Norwegian Pine Trail, an ode to the beauty that Sullivan County has to offer. The evenings at Whispering Willows were just as enchanting. Whether we were around a bonfire, roasting marshmallows under the starlit sky, or enjoying dinner al fresco with the picturesque sunset, every moment was memorable. Inside, the farmhouse was a blend of comfort and history. The expansive living room, warmed by a pellet stove, was the perfect spot for family gatherings. Its numerous windows served as a constant reminder of the natural beauty surrounding us. The kitchen, truly an Epicurean delight, had everything we needed to make delicious meals, making our stay feel even more homey. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect family vacation rental. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Whispering Willows Farm with us. We hope to return soon.

Wonderful location for relaxation and family time
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. We were here for 4 days and three nights and loved every minute of it. Location of house was isolated and it's easy to feel like you're the only family around. House has a lot of personality and charm, and was very clean. Our children, ages two and seven, had plenty to do. Porch overlooking the pond has a view of the sunset which made it a great spot to relax outside and visit with friends.

Enjoying a bit of heaven in Sullivan County
If you have ever dreamed of sitting by the fire watching the sun rise and set over rolling hills Whispering Willows Farm could be your spot! Our family recently enjoyed an idyllic New Years in this amazing spot. We spent three days lazing by the fire, cooking, eating and watching the world go by. We forced ourselves to venture out a couple times to enjoy a hike in Ricketts Glen and lunch in Eaglesmere but otherwise were completely happy to enjoy the beautiful home and setting. From an exceptionally equipped kitchen to good Wi-Fi and super comfortable beds, this house had everything we needed for a heavenly winter getaway. The owners could not have been more hospitable and responsive! We can't wait to return!

Awesome views
I have to say that the property is awesome. Not a bad view anywhere. The swimming hole was by far the biggest hit. Although we should’ve brought something for the 8yr old to float on. It’s deep and no place to touch so they tired quickly. (Just an FYI ). Beds were comfortable. It’s an old home (over 100 yrs) but it’s kept up well and the kitchen was fabulous. We had a small issue with the washing machine and the own called within 20 min and was very responsive. Nice to know they’re interested in making sure our stay was stress free. We spent most time outside or in the kitchen. I would definitely go back!!!

The visit was quite nice. We did have someone come mow right in the middle of our stay which lead to us tracking grass all over the house, but nothing some sweeping couldn't take care of. Over all the place was great, the pond was great, the kitchen was VERY nice and had a good time.
