Excellent staff and excellent breakfast provided if you choose to include it. Liked having laundry access and ability to leave luggage in luggage room before check-in or after check-out. Good little kitchen area too. Unfortunately, safe in our room wasn’t working and not fixed the 3 days we were there. Disliked carrying our money and passports everywhere we went. Drying rack in bathroom didn’t work either. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff. Thank you so much.

It was on the Royal Mile with both the castle and palace in close proximity. It was close to places to eat. Staff was friendly and helpful and answered questions. However, the condition of our room wasn’t quite up to par. The shower doors had black mildew, the wall around the commode had undesirable stains, and the light at the mirror was out and took three times asking to get it fixed. You have to take out your own trash and they do not service the room during your stay unless you pay extra.

Adequate hotel in a good location. Good breakfast and amenities available in the lobby. Laundry was good. Murphy bed was not comfortable at all. Very noisy street even on the 4th floor. Located at the lower end of the Royal mile, so everything is uphill all the way to the castle. Plenty of tour buses so you don't have to walk everywhere.

Absolutely loved my stay at Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless. The location is unbeatable—right on the Royal Mile, with everything from historic landmarks to cozy cafés just steps away. I could walk to Waverley Station in minutes, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse was practically next door. The room was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. Having a kitchenette made it easy to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or late-night snack, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I appreciated the clean, contemporary design and the quiet atmosphere despite being in the heart of the city. Staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful—they made check-in smooth and gave great local tips. The gym and lounge area were nice extras, and the free Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay. If you're looking for a stylish, self-catering option in Edinburgh with top-notch service and a prime location, this is it. I’ll definitely be back

Excellent location along Canongate. Just off Royal Mile but quieter at night. Beds were comfortable. Got a good night’s sleep. Only stayed one night. Staff were excellent. Helpful and friendly. Price was high but expected (end of August). Overall, it was very good quality.

Stayed one week August 24th to 31st. Location is fantastic at bottom of royal mile which less noisy from top of royal mile. Very walkable to attractions and the hop on/off bus stop. Check in was smooth. Craig offered early checkin with sign up of loyalty program (free). This was greatly appreciated. There is no room cleaning for shorter stays. There are garbage rooms on each floor to place recyclables and garbage. Breakfast options were great. Lots of restaurants nearby that offer vegetarian and gluten free meals. Prices are equal to hotel. Beds are comfortable. Studio room had a kitchenette to make meals. Downside was toilet and bathtub. As a shorter person I found toilet was too high (feet dangling) and bathtub a little too high. Used support bars to get in and out. Shower head was low even for me. Ask front desk toilet paper and clean towels. Air conditioning does work. Need to leave a card in the holder by the door, leave the switch that was on one wall on and turn thermostat back on when you return to room. I would book again directly with hotel for points and walk in shower option room.

It was good but the room for 4 is too small for 4 adults. No room for suitcases. It’s really made for 2 adults and 2 small children. Ended up getting a second room for a few nights. Otherwise very good location, happy with kitchenette area.

I thought the breakfast was way to high (20 lbs.) and it was HORRIBLE--shriveled sausages, old old produce--really terrible. However the desk personnel were always friendly and very helpful. I didn't like the no daily cleaning and carrying your own toilet paper and towels upstairs. We were there during the Fringe Fest and WOW the prices were usury level high.
