The hotel is great for getting 26 bus into town. They run every ten minutes and take about 40 mins. The hotel is in need of TLC. Our remote for TV did not work, reported it but it wasn't dealt with. Breakfast good. Service patchy. Decent enough stay but nothing special.

The hotel / breakfast etc. is ok for the price. Beds are huge and everything you'd expect for a chain hotel. We'd booked 2 rooms. Housekeeping was very good after the first night but non existent after the second night...one of the staff knocked several times at 10am, saying that she needed to change the towels, I asked her to come back when we went out at 10.30 but she didn't bother so the room wasn't serviced, neither was the other room. Neither of the hairdryers worked properly.

Nice size rooms, clean, comfortable and not to far from Edinburgh city centre, the bus stop to the city centre is just a short walk round the corner from the hotel.

I should have looked at where the hotel is situated. I went up for the rugby and made the mistake of thinking Murrayfield Hotel was near the stadium but their Haymarket hotel is nearer beware!
