Sleepless nights

We were there in a heatwave, this did not help anything. It was stuffy in the room even with a fan. The bed was so uncomfortable, between that and the head multiple sleepless nights.

Great location but room stuffy and hot

Excellent location, nice staff. Allowed early check in at 1 pm, then held luggage at desk on day of departure. Room was small & stuffy, AC and small fan did not cool. Window tilted open only a few inches and looked out to other rooms requiring curtain to be drawn No ventilation fan in bathroom. Construction going on. For $250/night hoped for more.

Great location and value

Very cool décor and great breakfast space. Super conveniently located to both Old Town and New Town. Close to public transit – especially airport tram and bus connections. Close walk to all of the main sights. Rooms were small but quiet with surprisingly thick doors. Breakfast spread was really nice – lots of options. Very clean and like new conditions. Good value for the cost.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, location was amazing. Room was very basic (though nicely finished), and there were renovations going on so the floor seemed like a bit of a building site at times. Seemed very expensive for what it was - but I guess that’s Edinburgh in July for you.

Mostly happy with this place

We were happy with the place but a few things were a bit odd: The security guard on the ground level was strange and not sure why he sat there all day. The door was difficult to open to our room. It was very noise overnight given the location of the hotel. Happy with the shower and also the view out of the front window. The bed was more firm than I prefer. The reusable cups were pretty nice for waters

Hotel cutrently umder construction but did not hear any noise while staying there. Quiet, decent sized rooms. Located in a good part of town, a little off the very busy street but still within walking distance to most things. Nice added service of luggage starge for guests.

Just What I Needed!

This was a great place to stay for a quick trip! However, there was much that I didn’t see as there was a lot of building works going on. It was very impressive that the works did not disturb us, at all. The room was very comfortable after a long day of travelling. The staff were kind and efficient and even remembered why I had said I was coming. That was sweet and good business! The location is perfect as it is across the street from Waverly Railway Station in the middle of Edinburgh. All in all, a very nice experience for a quick visit to see family on special occasions - very “fit for purpose.”. Thank you! Just what I needed.

Place was very well located, walkable distance from all sightseeing locations. There is no parking at the hotel but there is public parking 5 minutes walking distance with plenty of space. Staff was very friendly and helpful , quick check in. Room was spacious and with air conditioner.

Receptionist was awesome! Worked Thursday 26th around 11am! Room was incredibly warm, air conditioning didn’t work, just circulated air, the smell of cigarettes from the workmen on site as they smoked right outside the front door was awful.
