A beautiful hotel! We were very pleased with our stay. The service was excellent and the vibe of the hotel was perfect for our 2 day visit to Edinburgh. Well done Virgin Hotel!

The staff was pleasant but customer service was non existent. We checked in before our rooms were ready, checked our bags and were told they’d call when the room was ready and have our luggage brought to the rooms. They did neither. The vanity area was laid out well but the bedroom was small. I had a single room but if a couple were sharing the room, it would be tight quarters. The bed was comfortable, tho. There were no amenities such as Qtips, shower cap, makeup remover pads. The elevator was extremely slow the day we checked in, as only 1 was operating. 5 stars? I don’t think so.

We had a great experience here at this hotel. Staff were superb and gave us an upgrade because of our VIP Expedia status. The bar was fabulous and fun and great cocktails. The only two drawbacks are: (1) there is no convenient parking nearby and (2) the rooms are certainly on the small side even after an upgrade to a chamber suite. All in all it was a good experience fun hotel!

I liked the newly renovated rooms. I did not like that the rooms were small and cramped despite getting the Grand Chambre king. The Common Club restaurant was a disaster. We wanted a special dinner for 6 of us . We wanted the pan seared fish. Only 1 could have it despite our being the first customers that night. My wife specifically ordered the more tender and aged rib eye, the brought the chewy sirloin which my wife cannot eat due to TMJ dysfunction. The breakfast room EVE’s hostess Manuela was the most professional one. The egg station cook should have the ability and capacity to cook fresh scrambled eggs French style
