The surroundings are stunningly - the nature is just incredible. The resort itself I will say is “rustic” and OK. Unfortunately on our second night the people downstairs (may have been staff) were so noisy and smoking so we ended up having to close all windows despite the heat to try to escape the noise and stinky smoke. The girl in reception was very nice and professional.
A beautiful spot but unfortunately who ever owns it puts in zero effort to maintain it.
"Modern Cabin" dont be fooled, this slap together shed is held together by cobwebs - no joke.
Hald the electrical plugs dont work, the light sconces above the sink 1 is burnt out and both are loaded with dead bugs, bathroom stinks of mildrew we the transom windows havent veen dusted EVER and are riddled with cobwebs and dead spiders. They procide a toaster and a kettle dead bugs in both and the toaster when pukked out there was half a cup of crumbs that fell out of it. Shower caulking was stained with mold. Then go to the restaurant for dinner and the smell of sewer smacks you in the face - and a big old sign that tells you the flush effluent there in the boat launch (delish!)
The rugs on both sides of the bed were Stained and we tossed them outside on the balcony because they stank.
Come on you guy's....if you are going to get repeat customers do better - especially for the price we pay. If there were nearby options for us and our dogs with a boat launch we woukd have left.

The people were great… the lodge room could use some updating

Wonderful location right on the water and just steps from the Skookumchuck Narrows trail head. The pub on site had some of the best fish and chips we've ever had, and the live music added to the rustic atmosphere. Our cabin was very cozy, we loved the cedar interior and the wood-burning stove kept us warm during the cool nights. The only downside was the wifi signal didn't quite reach our cabin at the very end of the row, and we only had an intermittent signal. A wifi extender in the cabin would have been a big help (maybe not an issue if you are coming here to disconnect).
Inside the dome was as expected, cozy bed, very cute! The laterns were great. Heater didn’t help much at all but I had an electric blanket. Bathrooms were clean.
The only bummer was noise. Noisy staff, especially arriving early in the morning goin in/out behind the restaurant. Some loud truck beeping as it backed up very very early too. Also the domes are close to each other so you can hear every word of your neighbor. We had some disrespectful folks laughing and talking loudly until very late.
So it’s cool, very cool- but if you are looking for quiet, especially at night and early morning- nobody cares.
I used to tent in this exact same spot. It was so nice to have the view, room to move, a big comfy bed, chairs and a dry tent. The shower facility is a marina facility. Simple, but it gets the job done. The resort staff are helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back next year!
