I really was welcomed by friendly, professional staff, very interested in how my needs as a customer and all the way around well being and my stay here was the best I've had in my many travels in past travel. Very nice accommodating n I love the historical of the whole establishment n cleanliness but most of all the ladies in the front desk, I'll never forget you be thankful for how well you were to me during my visit. Anyone visiting Yuma Az, I highly recommend you stay here, you will be taken care of by good people along with very professional, but caring. Thank you very much ladies!

Awful creepy check-in!
There was no one there to check us in. It said push the ring bell I did three times no one came. There was a phone number to call that number was not operable and was unable to take any more messages. I called the number on the hotel.com reservation and they said they needed my confirmation number which I didn’t have. All I had was a itinerary number. By the time a half hour went by. I’m trying to figure it out. Some guy walked out of one of the hotel rooms and said can I help you and I said well we’re trying to check in. He said oh the guys in the room over here he’ll be right out 15 minutes later he was not out and we drove away. By then the seven year old was crying.

Not Fabuloso
They didn't have a room ready and had to look at a few before they found one that was cleaned. I was on the end VERY noisy and I didn't feel safe. Powerfully strong smell of Fabuloso. Breakfast ... better to just skip it. All very disappointing. I was looking forward to staying at the historic hotel.

Considering our reservation was unilaterally cancelled by hotel, which necessitated a rebooking from Hotels.com, with the explanation that the motel would be unexpectedly closed and the fact that we could see that the motel WAS not closed, I don’t have much to say about our supposed stay. Why doesn’t the motel know we didn’t stay. This whole thing kind of fishy.

Check in was great. Room at first glance was clean. Shower drained VERY SLOW. I was standing in 5” of water for a short shower. Towels were low quality. Fire Station was very close and went out of 5 VERY LOUD runs during the night. Street noise of loud cars & trucks was EXTREME ! We felt we were awake more than we slept. We will not return to this location.

I stay here whenever I’m in Yuma, I won’t stay anywhere else. My room even had a Jacuzzi which was heaven! The only reasons I didn’t give it all fives is because the housekeeper only cleaned my room one of the four days I was there and I told two staff members that I had no hot water in the sink, but that was never fixed nor was I given a discount for the stay. I was told by one that I could use the tub’s hot water! I also miss that they no longer give coupons to The Landing restaurant and their “continental breakfast” doesn’t include waffles or anything hot. Otherwise I still love the place.

I gave a 5 star because everyone was very friendly and our room was clean. The reason for the lower stars is that it needs some paint and updating but clean and friendly gets 5 stars in my book.
