The room is fab with a partial view of the 9 arches, the staff are lovely and the breakfast was amazing. The cube is a little bit outside of Ella via is reachable by TukTuk. Would recommend a stay in the cubes.

Well run small hotel. The room was large, adequately equipped and the AC was fine. Dinner and breakfast in the cafe/restauarnt was very good - maybe the best ‘Sri Lanka Curry and rice’ I had during my touring holiday. All the staff were really friendly and happy to carry my bags up the couple of flight of stairs. All in all, a good hotel and would recommend

We enjoyed our stay at The Cubes, it was a few minutes out of Ella which meant it was a peaceful escape from the bustling town and an easy tuk tuk ride into town. The scenery and views around the hotel were lovely. Service was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable with a lovely balcony.

Had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful hilly, mountain-side hotel. The setting was serene and refreshing, but what stood out most was the exceptional hospitality from every member of the staff warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options that made every morning special. A perfect blend of comfort, scenery, and genuine care. Highly recommended. I couldn't say enough good things about The Cubes Ella. We had originally planned to stay for one night, but ended up extending to three as we loved it so much. The rooms are spacious, with nice design touches and extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast options are delicious and the service is excellent. The staff really makes the place, we felt so well looked after. A few shout-outs for the people who made our stay special: Rishard, the Manager, who is always up for a chat and makes sure you're happy; Primal, the Chef who's also a guide and can arrange many things (like the driver who took us back to Colombo), and our TukTuk driver Amal, who showed us all around town and was very kind and considerate. Ella itself is a wonderfully vibrant town with lots of things to do and see, great food options, and beautiful nature. I definitely recommend Ella and if you're visiting, to stay at The Cubes.

Great find in Ella

Really helpful and friendly staff. Even lent me some money(!) until I could get to an atm. Offered advice to local area and considering the remote location in Ella it’s a really superb little hotel and highly recommend.
