Welcome to the Speckled Owl Cabin! License # 3063. Named with a nod to the Twin Owl rock formation that the cabin overlooks, this 3 bedroom 3 bathroom cabin includes expansive views of the Lumpy Ridge Range including the Historic Stanley Hotel.

Don't let the summer traffic slow you down. We are conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of Downtown, the Estes Park Event Center, Lake Estes, the Visitor Center (which has a shuttle to RMNP) and numerous other local establishments including bowling, breweries, and restaurants. This is the perfect house for those that want to be within walkable/bikeable options to local attractions.

Unwind on the huge deck after a day of hiking, shopping, fishing or just exploring. Loaded with a hot tub, gas grill and a large picnic table this is the perfect place to enjoy dinner, drinks or just the stunning views.

The cabin offers a main level open floor plan with a secondary living room in the basement. Upstairs is the primary bedroom retreat with access to the deck, a very large closet and ensuite. Additionally, there is a King bedroom and a full bathroom. The basement offers the second living room, laundry room, full bathroom, and the bunk room. The bunk is outfitted with a full, a twin on top and a twin on the side.

With attention to detail, this fully outfitted cabin is a true vacation experience.

We liked the kitchen and 3 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms but 1 of the bed frames is broken and made sleeping difficult. Also, the hot tub water remained very cloudy even after adding chemicals twice. And since we rented this housed because of the hot tub, the fact that the hot tub water was and remained cloudy (possibly indicating bacteria growth), was disappointing. Also, when we arrived, the washer and dryer were stuff with sheets and there were 2 additional piles of sheet in the downstairs area that we did not know if they were clean or dirty.

When we arrived at the house, the surrounding houses did appear to be less than well maintained, but we felt safe as two females staying alone. My guess is that the elements are pretty hard on the external part of the homes. It is a 15 minute walk to the main area of town. The house itself is perfect for two sets of adults with kids or even three couples. The inside is decorated well and it feels like you are staying in someone’s home, not so much a rent house. Overall the furniture and beds are comfy. The kitchen was well stocked if you are looking to cook for your crew. We brought our own crockpot with us but found they had one in the cabinet we could have used. There were ample dishes and silverware for a decent sized group and the ice and water from the fridge were filtered. The cookware was plentiful and there were pots and bowls of all sizes. We found the house to have clean counter surfaces and linens with plenty of sleeping space. The floors were a bit of a mixed bag. The carpet is in need of a deep clean and there were several blankets that seemed to be holding onto some dust. I had a pretty severe allergy attack while we were there that required additional medication. Our socks also got really dirty from just walking around upstairs. I would say if you have allergies, this might not be a great choice. Otherwise, it really ticked all the boxes for us.

Great Place For Families!
This place was great. They provided everything most places only give you a “starter supply” of. Plenty of TP, Kleenexes in every room, laundry soap, variety of trash bags, foils and baggies. I’ve stayed a lot of places and never been any where, so well equipped. Size was great for larger families. The hot tub was nice, and the place was conveniently located between downtown and RMNP. We would definitely stay here again!

House was great for what we needed. 8 of us (4 adults, 3 teens, 1 child) slept comfortably, adequate towels/washcloths, kitchen well stocked, beds were comfortable, hot tub was excellent, beach towels were great for getting out of the hot tub! Ladies Celebration Weekend
3 Sisters and our daughters/daughter in law - total of 8 - gathered together to celebrate all the positives in our lives and reconnect with one another. The house was perfect for us . . . not so big we lost one another - but big enough to accommodate our every need. We spent a lot of time on the patio and the hot tub. The large table was a wonderful place to share our meals along with some fun conversation. Our weekend was a memorable experience for all of us. The house felt like home!!

Estes Park Home for Family
This home worked well for our family trip to Estes Park. We had three teens (19 & 18), two elder parents (77), and two adults. The two rooms upstairs worked well for my elder parents. They did not have to walk up and down stairs. Each of the rooms upstairs had access to own bathroom. My three essentially adult kids slept comfortably in the bedroom downstairs. Location was good. We had other family members staying in the area. It took us no more than 10 minutes to get to them. House was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. Owner was very responsive to my questions.

Very nice stay. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable and had cozy bedding.
I wouldn’t say it’s an easy walk to town. There are no sidewalks. The home is well equipped and very comfortable for 5 adults. We enjoyed our stay. A family of Deer visited us several times a day.
