Arrived with two young children after a long day of traveling and a wonderful day spent at Dutch Wonderland. As the wife prepared the children for bed, I inspected the beds and general cleanliness of the room, only to discover dog feces in multiple places including next to the bed and in the closet. After reporting this to the front desk, they offered to clean it, which they did with wipes and a quick spray of the two areas. The general manager, whom I called on Monday made herself unavailable to speak with me, but told her associate to let me know that since they cleaned the poop, that I would not be compensated in any way. If a hotel is going to allow pets, the floors should not be carpeted so proper cleaning and sanitizing can be done for the next guest. This hotel has dark brown carpeting, perfect for hiding filth. Disgraceful customer service, especially in the hospitality business. The front desk person who cleaned the poop was completely unapologetic. Stay somewhere else.
