Wonderful retreat in the Florentine hills

The stay itself was lovely. The estate is beautiful with a wonderful garden and grounds. Worth a visit even just for all the amazing pics you can take there! However I personally had issues with some staff who were unfriendly or downright frightening with their angry resentful attitude. Maybe they were pissed off for working at night on holidays (or racist??) Tried to avoid them and all was fine. Also they play American pop songs throughout their bar and restaurant which completely ruins the mood so I asked them why?? And they seemed pissed off again but thank god turned it off for me. Staff at breakfast and during the day are so so nice. The breakfast spread with their homemade honey comb and fresh juice is wonderful. Other than a few scary staff (avoid) and horrible BGM (request to turn off) it is a wonderful retreat from the tourist crowds of Firenze.

This place is great. We had free breakfast buffet every morning, there was a shuttle service that brings you down the hill and it can bring you back up. The only thing i would say to anyone thinking about staying here, is to keep in mind that it is up in a hill and it's a long walk up and down if you don't rent a car.

The hotel is very charming. Almost felt more like a B&B than a hotel. Staff are super helpful. Worked out a trip for us to a nearby winery. Shuttle has 2 drop off points (#1 at the famous piazza di Michelangelo). Hotel grounds are beautiful. Worth a walk around. Great bar service and even a self serve wine area, if you prefer. Good breakfast. Fantastic dinner (try the filet and a bottle of Barolo). Our room had huge windows. Small bathroom in our room (for example, could sit on the toilet and brush teeth at same time😉), but we managed just fine. We are so looking forward to staying here again on our next trip!

Beautiful property, super friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel to whoever that is visiting Florence. Just right outside all the congestion, but still close enough to feel like you are in the center of it all.

I enjoyed the beautiful gardens and immaculately kept hotel and grounds. The staff was so friendly and helpful and worked very hard to accommodate each guest. The location was great as I could escape the busyness of the city but was close enough to walk from either shuttle stop and enjoy all that Florence has to offer.

Although it was off season to fully enjoy the garden, you could picture a wonderful setting. This is a quaint property overlooking the countryside and Florence. We were fortunate enough to see a beautiful sunset on our last night.

Absolutely beautiful, postcard-worthy grounds - do take a walk around & take lots of photos. Rooms were quaint & there was a problem with the water supply on our first night (granted it wasn’t the property’s fault). Amazing hidden gem!!!!

This hotel is just wonderful, the best hotel we ever stayed at. Even comparing with hotels in the US this one is far the best. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The property included a small and comfortable bus with the best bus driver, so nice and friendly, he took us to center of Florence. We did not have to drive there. The breakfast was amazing. The ladies at the breakfast area were all the time smiling and replenish all the breakfast items all the time, making sure nothing is missing. The reception greeting was amazing, we felt very well received, the lady showed us all the hotel areas. This hotel is a hidden gem. The beautiful view from our room and the gardens they have that you can walk around any time you want. Olive trees, the pines trees and the view of the hotel is just unique. The restaurant food was so good and they gave us free champagne to celebrate our anniversary that I mentioned in the reservation, they made us feel so special at dinner time. Our room was extremely clean and they made our bed, changed towels and cleaned while we were out. I highly recommend this hotel. Amazing amazing amazing!!!!
