Wonderful Stay in Destin
We had a great stay at Destin West! Between the lazy river, pools, and beach there was always something to do. Close proximity to local restaurants, shops, Publix meant you didn’t have to travel far once you arrive. Would recommend!

Pelican 401 was just as advertised. There was plenty of space, sleeping options, and is the corner unit so it has 2 balconies (one in front and one in back).

Location was great. View from end condo was spectacular overlooking lazy river & bay. Close to many restaurants & activities. Bridge over Highway to the gulf beach was easy & safe. Sufficient parking available. Communication with management company was easy & they responded quickly to our needs. We will rent again in the future.

Incredibly accommodating, everything you could wish for was in the condo. Will 100% be booking here again. had one of the most marvelous vacations I could’ve ever envisioned, nothing went wrong it was the best. The cleanliness and location of the property was perfect only a two minute walk to the beach through the sky bridge and the most amazing lazy river two hot tubs and huge pools you can imagine. we walked to every restaurant and every activity we wanted to do because the location was centered at the best part of Destin. I can’t wait to revisit for years to come.

Great location and comfy, clean condo!
The property is close to the beach, local shopping and restaurants. The lazy River and pools were a lot of fun and a beautiful FL backdrop. The beach is a short walk on the sky bridge. The condo was clean and has everything we needed for a week stay.

We love this place and Heron L08 did not disappoint. It has everything you need, including a beach wagon and chairs! We truly love staying on the bay side in this tropical paradise. I was most impressed with the timely correspondence from the owner, Jennifer. She was quick to take care of any needs. We will be back!

Needs a facelift
We have stayed Destin West 7 times since 2005. This rental company was extremely well to work with! I love the check in process! But we thought the unit could use some updating! The patio furniture was worn. The unit needs some sprucing up! But the biggest complaint would be the mattress ( or lack of mattress) in the master bedroom... my son called it “a prison bed”. It was like sleeping on cement. That is the main reason for the 3 stars.

Over all the condo unit was nice. It needs a very good cleaning. Few things need fixing, such as fan & light in living room. Ii was staying for a month, no real place to put your food that was not in fridge. Looks like some appliances might need to be updated soon. Pool and lazy river very nice, easy to get to beach. Diving into Destin or Fort Walton short. lots of places to eat.

Never Again!
We rented 5 condos for a large group of friends we all had issues with the keyless entry throughout our trip due to broken locks. Our condo was filthy the couch was peeling so bad that it left remnants all ovet the rug and our clothes. broken coffee maker. We washed the sheets and discovered a very soiled mattress pad. Absolutely disgusting! Our contact with David at Coastal Vibe Vacations was completely unapologetic and took NO responsibility along with calling my husband a bully! Who does that! I would like to state that the property itself is nice it was just the leasing agent that made our experience horrible. Never again, Coastal Vibe! We have stayed all over the US with VRBO and always enjoyed our experience. Do not trust David at Coastal Vibe and God help you if you have any issues during your stay.

Destin West is Fabulous
This is our second trip to Destin West and we love the amenities and proximity to restaurants! This condo has a great view and the management company is very responsive. Our only complaint was the sofa was shedding leather material onto the floor making the living room seating not enjoyable. However, we let management know and they are working on replacing the sofas. 😊

Nice vacation condo
Very nice unit. Everything worked well had zero issues with anything. Wasn't very fond of the private beach and having to sit in certain areas unless you rent chairs. The pool areas are very nice and the lazy river was great.

Great location with amazing views of the bay and pool area. Kids loved the pool and lazy river. Only downside was the master bedroom bed was like sleeping on concrete. Overall a great place to stay!

Terrific Spring Break!
We hated to leave. Waking up to views of the bay and lazy river and enjoying morning coffee on the patio were some of my favorite things. A quick walk across the skyway with the cart provided by condo owner made treks to the beach very easy. It did not hurt that there was sun each day! Condo is the perfect size for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had his own bed. Condo is updated and decorated in a beach theme with ocean colors of blue and green. The location is between Ft. Walton Beach and Destin so it is convenient. Lots of families. My 7-year-old cried when we left❤

Well decorated and very clean!
We stayed in Pelican 401 at Destin West Bay and Resort. The condo was very well equipped with plenty of dishes and cookware. The condo was well decorated and very clean. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We took advantage of the Lazy River and pool as well as visiting the beach and using the beach buggy to haul all of our stuff over there. The umbrella was very useful with the hot Florida sun. The location was pretty centrally located and we were able to get to most place pretty quickly despite the heavy traffic. We would rent this unit again.
