Still a sweet spot out of the way yet close enough to restaurants and a Walmart! Love the view from the kitchen window. The owner is super easy to communicate with.

The view from the porch was beautiful. You feel tucked away from the world but town is a short trip. Lots of options for food and shopping. This was our second stay and we were not disappointed. Communication with the owner is very good.

The house and property were perfect! Quiet, peaceful, spectacular views. Great walks with historic chapel nearby. Huge kitchen, huge front porch, fenced in yard for our little doggie where she played with fireflies every evening. Terrific experience!

Totally positive! Clean and ready for our arrival. Exactly as advertised. A quiet country house near Lewisberg and the Greenbriar where we were attending a convention during the day. Highly recommend to those visiting the area.

Melanie has a precious home in a beautiful corner of West Virginia. The porch over looks rolling hills with grazing cows and she had everything we needed in the home to cook, watch movies etc. thanks again!!

West by God
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay! It’s the perfect distance to be out of the busyness of town, but close enough to get to multiple areas in a short amount of time. The backyard was perfect for our dogs too! We decided to come from south Georgia in the middle of a nasty winter storm, but stayed nice and warm! Thank you Melanie!

Some Negative Issues
1) Furniture uncomfortable 2) front of house not very pleasing to the eye ( pics of front of house/ porch) not reflected on-line) 3) original reservation had to be refunded due to online reservation computer glitch. Had to reschedule different days for stay. Not a big deal, HOWEVER, the $45 travel insurance was not refunded, which should have been refunded to us.

Simple place with all you need
This little country home is plain, clean and comfortable./, and it is just a short drive to Lewisburg. The view out the front window calms the soul, and the fenced yard is a wonderful amenity for those of us traveling with a dog. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nice Quiet Location
I stayed for a few days here as time to get away from all the noise. It was a peaceful little property with all the amenities I needed and was close to stores. Downtown Lewisburg was adorable. I’d definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet little property.

No complaints. Everything was in order and all of our needs were met. Our dogs LOVE the fenced in backyard. We spent a lot of time on the front porch enjoying the view. We saw lots of deer and there was a double rainbow one day. Loved it.

Quaint homestead
It seemed to be an old homestead with some modern upgrades. Still on the rustic side but the home was clean, bug free and homey. Nice sized rooms and a great kitchen area. It is tucked away from town but only 10-15 minutes to restaurants and a Walmart, and 20 minutes to the Greenbriar. Downtown Lewisburg has a lot to offer with a short drive. The owner was very easy to communicate with.

A quiet peaceful stay but still close to entertainment and restaurants. Property owner had many thoughtful amenities such as robes, sundry items, thick towels and plenty of coffee. Books of many subjects and games for quiet times are in abundance. Owners are readily available by phone if needed. Reminiscent of an old farm cottage with lots of charm.

Cute Place
We stayed three nights to check out the area. House is older but well maintained and clean. Having lived in older homes it was not an issue but don't expect the Marriott. Queen bed was comfy. Plenty of coffee on hand. Especially enjoyed the front porch with view over field to woods beyond. Great place for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.

Nostalgic Stay
If you like the experience of staying at your Gramma's out in countryside, then this place is for you. Not many upgrades but a spacious shower, new towels, linens, fully stocked kitchen, new washer and dryer, extra soaps & shampoos, and comfy bed. The couches were uncomfortable and there's no dishwasher. However, I'm sure they'll be replaced in time. The kitchen is the main focus of this place and you can imagine your grandmother cooking and canning in here. A few things could use some sprucing up which I'm sure will come in time. Wasn't far from Lewisburg which had a quaint downtown with a few nice restaurants. We recommend The Humble Tomato. We came to research my family history. The local courthouse isn't far and has a large amount of records dating back to the 1700s. I was personally able to find several gravesites and locations of ancestors. Because the place is in the countryside, you may expect a few critters here and there. It was fair for the price and the host was quick to reply to questions.

Just what we needed
This older home has all the amenities that we needed. We currently live in a camper while we’re fixing up our property to get it livable. We were thrilled to take a long shower, do laundry, cook in a decent sized kitchen and let the dogs play in the backyard. The backyard is almost all the way fenced in. We brought some chicken wire and filled the hole (temporarily) so we could let our dogs run free. That was truly wonderful. Watch out for nymph ticks! Make sure your dogs are treated for ticks and check yourself- this is necessary no matter where you go. We plan to stay here again in September. Communication was excellent.

Nice old country home
We were staying in the area to visit Lewisburg for the chocolate festival as well as some of the outdoor activities available such as spelunking. This is an older country home with its charm, including a non working outhouse! I really liked it because it kept us out of the busyness of downtown Lewisburg and gave me some great opportunities for some nice pictures!

Cozy & pleasant
The house was roomy, comfy and clean. We loved the little backyard and the spacious kitchen. The owner was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. We enjoyed the tranquility, the view of the mountains from the front porch, nearby farms and the fresh air. Our GPS put us past the house, so we back tracked and eventually found the home. For reference I looked at Google maps and it has the home listed as 749, which I programmed into my navigation and we never missed finding the home again during our stay.

Presidents’ Day weekend
No complaints , host was very courteous and quick to reply to questions. Place is very charming and quaint and setup perfectly for what we needed. Two different GPS programs on diff phones took us to a different location down the street. It took us to A church so we knew right away it was wrong. A little back tracking and we found the house.
