I booked to stay in one of the ‘pod rooms’ which was ideal for a solo traveller. The staff were very friendly and the location is very central/felt safe. The shower was perfect and the room came with a hairdryer.

Fine stay
Had a fine stay with Ruby Louise. Good location, spacious room, smooth check-in/check-out. Did the complimentary drink in lieu of housekeeping for 3 days. Excellent grape vodka cocktail made with discarded grapes. The toilet and shower were in the same enclosed area which I don’t love. This was a solo trip prob wouldn’t return if with my gf.

The entrance was in a kind of alley. Had to go to the top floor and check in at the bar. They asked for your passport number as part of check in. The bartender/desk agent didn't provide any information about the hotel which would have been useful. For example, there is no telephone or refrigerator in the room (both very inconvenient), and no way to make coffee. But there are "galleys" on certain floors where you can make coffee. This is pretty inconvenient in general, but we weren't even informed of these things upon check in.

Staff was very good anytime you needed anything very helpful. We got there early due to our flight and instead of having us wait four hours to check in we only had to wait around an hour for them to getthe room ready. Will definitely go back.

Stripped back chic luxury
Fantastic clean hotel ,with ultra cool vibe, modern retro decor and very easy checking in process on ipad. Welcome drink and service with a smile from relaxed young staff. Room was ultra modern with glass walks into shower and toilet (frosted glass privacy for toilet). Rooms felt special and luxurious. Star of hotel is the Ruby Bar rooftop terrace. Wow. Will definitely stay again .

A great, welcoming venue
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very fine. Room and bed were very comfortable but the futon-like bed doesn’t suit older guests. The hotel bar was a lovely, welcoming venue and the roof terrace attached was an added delight. Great location.

We read all the terrific reviews prior to booking. Our expectations were far surpassed! Excellent stay! Ruby Louise has an awesome vibe, terrific staff, and wonderful rooms. Rocco makes awesome cappuccinos! Dido , good luck in med school! Szylvia, welcomed us and gave us great recommendations. You have to try the Ruby margarita with smoky mezcal. Breakfast was traditional fare and late night drinks very convenient. Walking distance to great restaurants or short Uber if you don’t feel like taking the train. We will visit again! Thank you to everyone at Ruby Louise.
