First, the lady at the counter on check in was less than pleasant, but business like. I commented on our reservation through Hotels.com that we were traveling with a dog, apparently comments are not read so it was a surprise to her when i checked in that we had a dog.
Keep in mind that if you are traveling with a dog at this location that you will be placed in the “dog building”. Which is not the main building but the building behind it. Your pet is not even allowed in the lobby of the main building. I cannot comment on the rooms in the main building, the lobby seemed clean. Our building however seemed old, was very out dated and was in need of lots of repairs. The locked front door of the building was not locked at all because it was broke and was held open by a brick. The did fix the door the night before we checked out. The hallway was less than clean, seemed to have water damage that needed repaired, some repair was done because the drywall was still bare and the windows in the corridors were filthy. Our room had a musty odor that we could not get rid of with Fabreeze or a wall plug in. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I had ever seen and I’m a travel nurse for the last five years so I’ve seen plenty. The restaurant was average, but over priced for the quality of food that we got. Plus side, we were allowed to have our dog with us to eat on the patio.
In closing, we would not choose this hotel again on our next trip to this area.
