Disappointed for various reasons. Was expecting a great room,location and service for the very high charge but sadly this was not the case. The room was small and fittings worn. Surroundings are derelict land imbetween busy roads. Towels were threadbare and 2 of toiletries dispensers were empty. Unable to get hot water in the shower. When asking for milk for the room they were unable to provide any. On a plus side staff were pleasant but it needs to be stated that there is free parking available (we paid 19 euros) and that access to the centre is easy using the tram. Cars are not allowed in the centre. If the price of the hotel was half then it would have not been complaint worthy. Super 8 hotel next door might have been the better option.

Good experience. Quiet area. One disappointment, we did arrive later than expected but love the old centre and when we asked which direction to take, we were told it was about 35 minutes walk. Your website says "Fill up on hot breakfast before exploring the Old Town, 10 minutes away and home to Freiburg Cathedral". This was a shock to the system, perhaps you should say 'by car' in your description? We stayed local because of the time but still had a good stay.

Great customer service . Arrived early at the hotel as the flight was early , had to be ready for 15:40 for a wedding the check in was at 15:00 so they agreed for us do check in at 1300 which was great and allowed us to get ready and not rush . Alex was brilliant at reception very helpful . Also a young lady with dark hair couldn’t get her name wrote down details of the trams and stations we needed to stop which was on point and hustle free . Breakfast was good and loads of item to chose from . Would definitely stay here again and would also recommend this hotel .

The rooms were clean. But the air conditioning and the safes didn’t work, and there weren’t maintenance people available to help. The hotel isn’t very old but it’s really showing its wear and tear. There weren’t enough staff on site. The hotel photos on Expedia showed a man in a suit at the front desk and two women tending the bar. In reality there was one staff member on shift at any time both running the front desk and the bar, so there were very long waits for either. Booked two rooms for our family with 3 kids but they gave us rooms at the opposite ends of the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good considering it was included, so it was very popular with the guests as you can tell from the other reviews.

Hotel check in was quick and easy. Room was reasonable size. Bathroom was relatively clean although some visible mould and limescale in shower. Soundproof rooms apart from having window open then some loud glass recycling around 6.30am. Front desk staff friendly although very understaffed on a Saturday evening, seemed unfair to only have one gentleman checking guests in and also serving a busy bar also. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. We stayed for 4 nights and although had a DND sign on the door the first morning to allow for a lie in, we took it off and didn't get clean towels or bed made up which was disappointing. Overall decent experience and good value for money. Quick and easy to get into centre of Freiburg either walking or tram.
