Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Few suggestions, 1) book a room on the lake side as the road is a bit loud at night and 2) bring a pillow as the ones provided are very German. 10/10 and will return!

We got a terrible room- without a balcony(although order clearly says with balcony, they blamed Hotels.com for sending it wrong), and worst of all it was in a construction site of their redecorations, which had construction workers walking around it smoking right into our windows and their chemical toilet in front of our room, the smells were horrible. The room felt outdated, unclean, and the bed was tiny. After complaining to the manager they moved us to a slightly better room the second night.

A wonderful place to relax.
This was our second time at the Hotel Langenwaldsee. It was exactly what we needed for a short break. The amenities are great, the food is excellent, and the staff are very friendly.

Lovely Stay
Lovely location. Bathroom in the room was modern and excellent, the rest of the room was a little old fashioned but it was a good size. The restaurant did not have an extensive menu and had nothing for children. The walks in the area were breathtaking.

Lovely place to stay in the Black Forest
We had originally booked a Comfort Room with three beds with a Forest view for my husband and I and our daughter, for one night, but on arrival at the hotel they upgraded us at no extra charge to a Lake view room with an interconnecting room for our daughter, with large balcony, which were lovely. We ate in the hotel that night and the food was excellent, although the wine was rather pricey

Good location with views
We arrived at the hotel which is going through some refurbishment. Our room was of a decent size with a balcony over looking the large pond. Unfortunately the room was very out dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. The hotel restuarant was of a good standard although slightly expensive. After speaking with other couples it appears the quality of the rooms do vary as some have been refurbished. If staying for only one night I would be wary of which room I would be given. Plenty of free parking was a bonus.

Personnel à l'accueil parle français, pas au restaurant mais on arrive à se faire comprendre. Dommage que des pantoufles ne sont pas prévues dans le kit avec les peignoirs pour accéder à la piscine. N'ayant pas de pantoufles j'ai acheté 3 euros sur place. Au prix de la chambre ça devrait être inclus.

Erholung pur
Eine wirklich schöne Reise. Die Mitarbeiter waren allesamt sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen. Das Zimmer sehr ansprechend und das Frühstück ausreichend und sehr lecker. Es wäre jedoch schön Wenn Spa und Abendessen länger möglich wäre. Wenn man Wandern ist und erst Abends wiederkommt, muss man sich leider entscheiden Essen gehen oder in die Sauna/Schwimmbad. Hier wäre bis 21 Uhr sehr willkommen gewesen.

Werde nicht mehr kommen
Check in freundlich und schnell. Zimmer nicht wirklich sauber, in dem Kasten waren noch FFP2 Masken und Snacks vom vorigen Gast. Im Badezimmer an den Fliesen waren Haare. Nicht sehr appetitlich. Naja, das kann man ja noch irgendwie akzeptieren, aber Frühstück ab 7:00 geht für Arbeiter überhaupt nicht. Da ist es dann auch gleichgültig, was angeboten wird.
