Our room at the castle was very nice and the spa facilities were excellent. We were disappointed that the guest of a 5 star hotel did not have access to the main restaurant Le Cerf (fully booked) and recommended the other restaurant Waldschanke which was was much, much below the 5star quality. The dining experience ruined our stay there. They should flag Le Cerf restaurant booking when accepting room reservations.

Lovely hotel!
We were very impressed with the Wald & Schlosshotel and enjoyed our stay with them very much. The restaurants are fabulous-some of the best food we had in Germany. Our room was large ,well appointed, and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful- full of wonderful ammenities, a large tub and great shower. We were given an upgrade at check in-which was extremely generous. This hotel also has a beautiful spa and lovely grounds. Service was top notch as well. It is hard to believe that such a wonderful hotel-with 3 amazing restaurants-exists out in the middle of no where in Germany-but it does. And, we were very glad we found it! Thanks, Wald and Schlosshotel. You made our stay very memorable!

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit neuerer Ausstattung erhofft, die sehr eingeschränkten SPA Möglichkeiten sowie die verkürzten Verweildauerzeiten waren eine Überraschung. Aber wir lieben Friedrichsruhe - waren schon oft Tagesgäste. Der Service und das Essen sind weltklasse. Das 3. Bett war für eine 60jährige etwas unbequem, aber für 1 Nacht überlebbar.

Trotz der Einschränkungen aufgrund von COVID 19 war es wieder ein Erlebnis drei wunderschöne Tage hier zu verbringen. Das Personal ist wie immer toll, zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer wie gewohnt sehr sauber und das Essen sehr lecker. Klar gibt es auch hier Hygienevorschriften und COVID 19-Maßnahmen zu beachten, aber die sind so dezent gehalten, dass es den Aufenthalt in keinster Weise beeinträchtigt.

Ik kom hier al jaren, soms meerdere keren per jaar. Fantastisch hotel, heel goed eten op meerdere nivo’s. Het was een teleurstelling dat ik, als vaste gast, ondanks mijn reservering voor kamer 213, in het ‘Schlosshotel’ werd ondergebracht. Daar vanuit is het bezoeken van de beroemde wellness-faciliteiten en de restaurants een ‘gedoe’.
