This home is located on the west end of Galveston Island, just a few miles up the road from the San Luis Pass. Wake up each morning to watch the sunrise and observe passing pelicans; spend your days swimming, kayaking, and fishing. If you're a boating enthusiast, you'll find a launch in Sea Isle two miles northeast, which is also home to the West End Marina and Restaurant and the Sandbar Grille. You can take an evening or two to explore the seawall or the Strand Historic District in downtown Galveston (21 miles northeast), where you'll also find the Historic Pleasure Pier on the Gulf shore.

Excellent vacation home!
This was our second time staying here. We have enjoyed it both times!! Some great changes have been made since our last stay like a new stair case and new furniture! WiFi worked great this time, house was cleaner and less cluttered, and kitchen was well stocked. We truly love staying here💕

Great location and floor plan
We enjoyed the easy access to beach and layout of the house. Plenty of space for all. Had a few maintenance issues door being primary one. Vacasa was very responsive but problem was not permanently fixed so that was a big frustration

The house was dirty and moldy. There were dead cockroaches on the floor and kitchen counters. The toilet in one bathroom was stopped up. The swing on the deck was bowed and broken. The upholstery on the furniture was torn and a couple of the dining room chairs were busted through with a piece of plywood laid on top. Would not recommend

The Bay Harbor Beach
A great location with excellent beach access…well provisioned but the lack of blankets or bedspreads on all the beds was a problem if you like to keep it cool for sleeping purposes. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

House was filthy, mold everywhere. Things broken and had funky fixes that didn't work.
Was very disappointed. Don't plan to cookout the grill didn't work. And after personally face to face talking to the property manager, nothing was done about the mold, the grill or anything else. Never saw him again or talked to him. The home looks clean on the surface, but don't looked and the vents, the air filters or the mold on the shower curtains or the blinds in the shower. Ripped an torn dining room chair seat cushions. Don't be scared by the kitchen cabinet wood accent framing falling to the counter. Or the striker on the front door not letting the door latch or even lock at times. This beautiful home needs lot of attention and love before many more people rent it. I hope the owners get this review. Also spindles on the deck need attention, a big safety issue. It worked for housing our 9 family members. The beach was GREAT! It would have been nice to know their where supplies for the beach in the shed and we would have been told that we could open it with the key. We found out 1 day before we left. There were no dish tags, dish towel or even hot pads. They left 2 trash bags and two dishwasher liquid pods for our 4 night stay. We had to buy hands soap and wash clothes. Not enough the house. There was a lot of sand in the dryer. We had to vaccum it out before we used it. Not surprised about the sand, but think a paid cleaning service should have found that and took care of it. I have pictures if anybody really cares to see them.

The grill, ice machine, d4ains in the bathroom sinks, DVD player, and 2/5 tvs don't work. Don't advertise if it isn't available. The dining room chairs are broken and hazardous. (My 8 year old fell through and scratched her back bad) The pictures are OLD. The house is not in that condition anymore... not even the decor is accurate. And everything is SO DUSTY... like OH MY LORD... DUSTY. No one has swept under beds/ tables/ couches nothing in literal years based on the amount of build up and all the pictures and decor is caked in dust. Oh and the upstairs bathroom has a big hole in one of the tubs and then the other is full of mildew. There was everything we needed and the overall stay was fine. The location was great and vacasa was easy to communicate with. But I was truly disappointed with the condition on the home.... must be why it's cheaper than the surrounding ones... who knows But definitely shouldn't advertise having things that don't work and fix those chairs before another kid gets hurt

This is a lovely house with great views. But it needs a deep cleaning and some maintenance other than cleaning service saying its clean.. They refunded my cleaning deposit after we left a day early due to mold started to show.out of the vents. Was a lot disappointed in cleanliness

Nice getaway
This was a great house. Love that all rooms had their own bath and that there were 3 king size beds! Spacious and inviting. Being able to use the fireplace was great since it was in the thirties when we arrived. We brought our own fire wood. The dishwasher was broken and being replaced so we had to hand wash dishes which was not the best. I think my worst complaint would be that the kitchen is not stocked very well for cooking. Pots and pans were scarce and mix and match if you could find one to use. Could definitely use some TLC in the kitchen.

Quiet beach area with nice enough accommodations
Great that every bedroom has an attached bath. Decor definitely needs to be updated. Too many styles and tchotchkes. Overall a serviceable place to enjoy the beach. Location is far away from touristy area and we liked the quiet of this beach a lot.

Great location and away from the tourist side of the island. This is our second visit to this property and I would say that the cleaning staff is getting a little lax. Home smelled like burned shrimp when we entered and several loose papers and heavy dust in spots. I would change cleaning companies for sure..

Great location for a family beach vacation! We were steps from the beach. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom. Only issue was the water and ice dispensers in the fridge didn’t work. House could use a little decluttering, but other than that it was great. We would stay again.

Location is everything
The size of the house was perfect for our family. Each family had their own bedroom and bath. The open living/kitchen was great. Distance to beach was perfect. Lots of chairs available and beach toys to play with! Nice grill for cooking out. It is quite a trip to the business end (groceries, entertainment, restaurants) but we enjoyed being on the quiet end so the drive was worth it. We put in an order for groceries ahead of time and just picked them up on the way to the property. Cons: the house is dated and needs a deep cleaning. It would have been nice to have more dish towels and soap and such for doing dishes....we cook almost every meal and have lots of dirty dishes! The shower curtain and shower in upstairs bath needs replacing (mold) and a good deep cleaning! For the price we paid for the 5 nights, these are things we expected to be there and were a little disappointed in the lack of “small touches”. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at this property, though. The reservation, check in and out, and information received was great! Side note: as a life-long Texan, (who pride themselves on being the litter free state—“Don’t mess with Texas” ?!)I was very disappointed in the amount of trash on the beach! People need to pick up their stuff! It makes it most unpleasant to have to walk through garbage when you’re on the beach. I know this isn’t the property’s fault, but it is worth mentioning . It’s a nice beach—-there needs to be better efforts (by whatever entity handles these things) to keep it clean!

Great location
The proximity to the beach was the best part of the stay. Tons of beach toys available and the house and rooms were clean and comfortable. Only small negatives were that the home has a lot of breakable Knickknacks and decorations that made staying with a baby and children difficult. Also the balcony is missing a rail post and has very dry, splintering decking. New patio furniture and replacement of small things like shower curtain, ac vents, and kitchen chair cushions would go a long way. Great stay overall and super simple check in and out process.

Great house terrible ac!
Ironically, the upstairs stayed at least 10 degrees cooler at all times. This was much worse if the oven was on or there were lots of people in the house such as for our wedding party. Great layout and decent kitchen supplies.

Friends getaway in Galveston
Bedrooms and Baths were just what 3 couples would want. Property was pretty much as advertised. Location is awesome, entrance was simple. Lots of dishes etc..could have had some wine glasses but really well stocked over all and everything worked. Always are a few issues and we had a couple, such as outside furniture was in ill repair and inadequate. Not being allowed the use of a grill causes menu problems (prime steaks on stove top??). Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We would rent this site again.
