The staff here were great as they helped sort out an initial problem with our room. Overall though we were not too impressed by the hotel itself. The room felt dark, a bit damp and had no ability to control the temperature in the room and had no air circulation other than opening the window. It was clean enough just felt like some detailed cleaning doesnt really happen. The location is kind of odd, would be fine if your driving or dont mind walking. We didn't mind walking, but that is something to consider since its about 25 minutes into the central part of Galway. The breakfast was wonderful!

Decent room. Very good food for both dinner and breakfast. Restaurant/bar is a bit loud in the evening and the service was polite but not very attentive.

The bar was limited and the staff was rude and unable to make simple drinks like an Old Fashioned - restaurant manager in the evening was equally as rude. Breakfast was subpar at best - eggs were over cooked and the butter/oil used tasted old and burnt.

The Nox hotel is located on the outskirts of Galway which made it ideal for exploring the area. It is also a short drive into the city. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and personable. There is a great selection of food at the breakfast buffet. I stayed 5 nights in October

Overall, it was a good stay. Bed was comfortable, staff was attentive. Breakfast was above average for a “comes with the room” situation. Biggest negative was lighting. Hallways were dark and not all motion sensors worked as you walked down the hallway. And the bathroom in our room would have benefited greatly with more lighting.

This hotel is in a sort of industrial/business park area. It was great for parking, but otherwise unremarkable area. It was about a 1.5 mile walk into town along a fairly busy road. It is close to a Dunnes and a Tesco. The room was just fine if slightly shabby, but the bathroom was very dark and needs renovating. While we didn't love the hotel, we did love the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious - I found plenty of vegan options.

No sleep

I got no sleep at all in the hotel due to a constant loud noise like a fan or pump right beside my bathroom. It was loud enough to keep me awake all night when I mentioned this to staff they didn’t even say sorry they just said you’ve paid up.

Wonderful place to stay. The only negative things was the lighting in the bathroom and room was a bit darker than we like. They are very energy efficient which is a good thing.
