Convenient but that's about it...
This hotel is very close to all the shops at Gatlinburg. So it's convenient. But room service and customer service were the worst I've ever experienced in 45 years of traveling.

Great location, right downtown and walkable. The room was adequate for our one-night stay but it might have been hard to be there more than that. We couldn't get almost any of the outlets to work in the room and had trouble charging our phones and using our hair dryer because the bathroom outlets also didn't work. We pushed the GFI reset button - still nothing. Also, the coffee pot in the room didn't have the removable tray where you can insert the coffee grounds, so we had to go up to the front lobby to get a cup of coffee. But the room was clean, the shower was hot, and again, great location. Also, the bears hanging off the balcony ledges were a cute touch : )

Pleasant but could be cleaner
The good: The staff was friendly and coffee supplies were replenished daily. It is located a convenient walking distance from the strip. The not so good: The room could have used a deep cleaning. There was what appeared to be a hair ball on the exposed pipe under the bathroom sink. The platforms under the mattresses were both dusty with hairs and miscellaneous bits of trash in the gaps in the wood. On the first night, our feet were black and gritty after walking on the floors. The window was very dirty. We also had to ask for towels every day because housekeeping would only leave 3 towels for the 4 of us. (We usually try to reuse towels more than once if there are towel hooks available to hang them but there was no such accommodation in the room.) This was our second stay here and I’m sorry to say that things have definitely gone down hill from what we recall from last year’s visit.

Large room, very clean, excellent pools, terrace with super comfortable chairs and all Gatlinburg attractions very close, just 3 or 4 minutes walking. This hotel is in excellent condition, very well decorated inside and outside the hotel... I recommend it with 5 stars.

We enjoyed the daily visits from the bears. Otherwise, had to go to office for towels and toilet paper and there were guests who paid a lot less than we did for their stay. Room was very rough in condition and had a musty smell and was not very clean.

The beds were clean and very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony, which we enjoyed. The main disappointment was the run down condition of the room and the cleanliness. There were what looked to be dorito crumbs on the floor and garbage on the ground right outside the door.

We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony each evening. It is in walking distance of everything in Gatlinburg but we still saw bears and raccoons in the evening from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet inside the room so we got great sleep.
