Location is great! Property has enough parking and you can walk to just about anywhere. There was security also! There was a very good breakfast buffet with biscuits and gravy, ham! And then there was the overwhelming musty smell everywhere! The rooms were small and dark, the bathrooms, small and dark! the skylift was literally over the pool which was not operational by the way, and really the people on the lift can see into your room, so you have to keep those drapes drawn! If old and historical is your thing, this is your spot!

Lots of hot showers, great breakfast, super convenient, loved front porch and rocking chairs. It is an old property with small rooms, old but clean carpet. Would stay again.

Great staff, very clean just has a bad odor
This hotel have the best staff, they are so kind, hard working, and attentive. The breakfast is amazing! The hotel is exceptionally clean, however the smell/odor is just too strong. It is an old house, musky smell that hits you as soon as you walk in the lobby and into your room then even home with you. It’s very strong and can be aggravating, especially when the hotel is so well kept and cozy. We would love to stay here again but we know we will never be able to due to being sensitive with allergies etc that the “old musky” smelll is just too much.

The location was fantastic. The bathroom was beautiful. The hotel is older but clean and the bed was wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable.

The hotel is quirky all the furniture is old, which is in keeping with the hotel it is a historic hotel after all, the bathroom had been renovated and was very nice, the bed seemed quite new and was comfortable, the room had a musty smell which I think was from the carpet. Over all it was ok for our one night stay

All of the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The property was the oldest in Gatlinburg, but they gave all the modern amenities without giving up the old charm.

Hotel has such a historic feel to it. It is so convenient to everything around. Nightlife, local wine, cider and moonshine stores as well as the Sky Lift is right next door. Can't wait to return.
