Great staff and a good location.
This looks more like a hotel than a hostel. It's very modern and well run. The girl at the front desk was wonderful in helping us out. The only downfall was some of the other guests who don't clean up after themselves.

I arrived at 2 am. Guy in the reception was playing on his phone and when I said that I want to check in he told me to wait until he finished his game. Then he kept playing while checking me in. Then I get to the room. Basic hostel room. The beds were squeaking as soon as you moved. It was really annoying and I woke everyone up cause of that. In the bathroom there was poop all over the toilet and the showers didn’t have locks so someone could just walk in while I stood there naked. I only needed a cheap place to spend the night, but if you want to have a decent place to sleep for longer periods then avoid this hostel. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Great location, but the room not so clean
Wifi connection was good. Bathrooms generally in good condition, tho for 1 day (out of a 2 day stay) there was no soap. The room status was HORRIBLE. Very dusty and the stench was intolerable. During day time, probably 20 flies were in the room constantly. The location is absolutely great tho - close to everything and very central. So, if you're not planning to spend much time in the hostel, not a bad place due to its great location (close to train station, centre of the city and most other things). I'm going back to the same city for in a week for a few more days, I am not staying to in this hostel this time.

I stayed for night in a twin private. Everything was great. The location was perfect, walking distance from old town and train station. There was some noise from the street and some people playing loud music. This didn't bother me but if you are easily bothered buy noise then maybe this is not for you.

The location is good and easily accessible from the airport by bus. The venue is in good condition, the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy, and I liked the fact that each bed had a curtain for some privacy. Some rooms can be a bit noisy if the window is to the roadside like it was in mine. There is no lift, which could be a problem for some. The staff were generally friendly, but the receptionists couldn't be bothered helping me to find out about e.g. walking tours in Gdansk, but instead told me to just google it, which I found odd.

Easy to find Hostel
Extremely clean hostel thanks to the hard working staff. A mixture of visitors from near and far. Central, easy to find and convenient for exploring and sightseeing of Gdansk. The only negative is the pod style beds in some rooms, a personal dislike of the deep style low ceiling pods. That said, they do provide privacy for studying for example!

Right in the middle of town and excellent price
I stayed at 3City Hostel for a week at the end of July. A great selection of guests, great wi-fi and close to all local amenities - as well as good value - make this place highly recommended. Don't look elsewhere if you need all the essentials and a touch of glamour!

Good hostel near the good stuff
G'dansk overall did not seem to have many tourists, in January at least, and so this hostel was mostly other Polish guests, as opposed to foreign travelers like me. The place seems relatively new, and parts of it are still under construction. Hostel staff was very nice and helpful. I liked that the location was walkable to the main train station and historic downtown.

The man working on reception when I checked into the hotel was very rude. He answered his personal mobile in the middle of talking to me. He checked me into the wrong room, and was very rude when I asked him to change me to the room I had paid extra to book.

3city hostel not recommended!
I arrived and the front desk couldn't find my reservation. I requested a bottom bunk and got a top bunk. The shower in our room was filthy and we complained but it was not cleaned. It was noisy with 12 year old students slamming doors and running down the halls. The kitchen was locked in the morning so they could clean so we had to pound on the door so we could have a cup of coffee. The worst ever customer service in a hostel and I've been in a lot of hostels in the past 8 months. The staff were curt and rude. I give this place a .5.

Convenient and low cost in Gdansk
The best part is the location...between the railroad central station and the old town. The condition were fine for the price, though the breakfast offered little beyond the basics. I reserved a private double room with shared toilet and shower. Though this was unavailable when I arrived they gave me full use of an eight bed room with toilet and shower - so they did a fine job of meeting my privacy needs.

3City Hostel was located in a convenient location, not far from the main city attractions and the train station. Relativity easy to find. The Hostel was up to date and had a clean, metro feel to it. You may ask tho why I gave two stars if everything so far seems great. One word, service. Checkin was complicated. 3City had no idea I was coming even tho I had a pre-paid reservation on Hotels.com. This experience was way too time consuming and confusing for an inexpensive short stay in a hostel. Second, there was a disaster at the hostel the second night. Due to road construction, the entire building had no water the second night. The hostess gave two water jugs for the entire third floor. Needless to say, the bathroom by halfway through the night were awful, the hallways smelled, and the staff provided few updates or assistance during this time. Clearly in my stay was not hostel price, hotel quality...more like hostel price, hostel quality. As long check-in process improves and the water isn't shut off, I would still recommend 3City....oh and the capsules are pretty cozy!
