The suite was so cozy - like your own little winter cabin. There was no aircon - which we were aware of - but having the balcony door open with the fly screen & ceilings fans made it very pleasant. Living area, bedroom & bathroom were all very spacious. Only complaint being that all vending machines were out of order

We loved the location and views from our unit and were please to be upgraded to a loft room. We especially enjoyed the weekend when the gonodlas were running with the buzz of cyclists and hikers. We stayed for 6 nights and were able to easily drive to different points of interest throughout the week from Emerald Lake, the Natural Bridge, Banff, Bow Falls, Revelstoke, and a spectaular drive on the Icefields parkway to Bow lake and Peyto Lake!

The room was TINY - I can't imagine staying here in winter and having to take off or store any amount of clothing! Check in was in a completely different building. There were NO restaurants open at all - we had to drive 20 min down a winding road back to town to eat, then 20 min back to the hotel. We didn't even know there had been an exercise room until after we checked out. The building next store was under construction so late afternoon sounds of beeping back up and safety sounds from the work site were a problem; same thing early next morning. Mosquitoes made walking the hillside a problem. The wildfire smoke was so bad you couldn't see the top of the mountain.

Bird's nest and poop on the balcony

This is my second review for this property . This time we got a room without a ceiling fan , warm and smelly... Receptionist was nice and tried all possible options , but nothing worked for us . I know , this property has no air conditioning and I'm fine with that. But to leave your guests without any options is brutal... We also had a little surprise on the balcony - birds nest and bird poop on the floor. One of the guests mentioned it in her review earlier , but nothing was done... See photos attached. I will avoid this place and stay in Golden next time... I stayed at this resort for two days only and I never got that much negative experience in 10 years of traveling...

Rude receptionist Valentina

When we got to the reception to get the keys , I told receptionist Valentina that we checked in online (and I got a confirmation from the hotel) . Valentina , the receptionist, twice told me that I didn't check in , until the system loaded and she saw she's wrong... No apologies... Then she asked if we read the property policies. I said yes , we did. When I asked her where we should park , she mentioned in an arrogant manner that she already asked us if we read the property policies and I said yes... A bitter aftertaste to have a such a service... Valentina is not suitable to work with customers , absolutely unacceptable...

The property is pretty run down and our unit we stayed in definitely needed some maintenance and attention. The staff at the front desk wasn’t friendly when asked questions,. The restaurant The Peaks was the highlight. Great service and food here, but once again the aesthetics of the restaurant was pretty run down. Carpet coming up and weeds that were knee high on the patio. Don’t book if it’s hot, there is no air conditioning. We shortened our stay here. We only stayed one night.
