Book Gorakhpur hotels

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very responsive to requests, prompt in dealing with issues, and extremely well trained in hospitality. The quality control was impressive, especially in the food that was served at breakfast and dinner. The buffet was very well stocked and all the dishes I tried were delicious consistently. The staff was also eager to serve and attentive to our needs. The property is also large, quiet, and overlooks the lake. Well designed and maintained. One of the best hotels I have stayed at! Overall, highly recommend.

Door is not proffer working. Sometime more than 20 times try to open it. Sofa is bad spot condition Shampoo was not refilled and half used shampoo was wasted and not replaced. So, used soap for washing hair Need to change many

Stayed here for one night in room 208. The room had a double bed, with a thick mattress which was very soft by Indian standards. There was a desk and chair to work on, although the placement of the bed made having the chair at the desk awkward. There’s Wifi throughout the hotel, so at least guests can do some work. The room had a ceiling fan, which I kept on anytime I was in the room as Gorakhpur was hot by British standards. The blanket was thick. The fan made it comfortable to sleep though. The walls of the room had a lot of scuff marks and could probably do with a repaint, although nothing dramatic. The bathroom was fairly standard, functional and clean. The shower worked well with hot water readily available. Liquid soap was also supplied. Breakfast was part of the booking and starts at 8.30, late by Indian standard. When I went up to the restaurant at 8.35, breakfast was not ready. Nothing had been prepared and I had to wander around the restaurant floor to find out staff. When the dishes did arrive, it was some kind of potato dish, puri and chai. Location wise, the hotel is located on a side street, slightly hidden from the main road and quiet enough. It’s also about 1.5 km to the main train station and main bus stand. Walkable if you’re determined. Overall, I had a good stay. The front office staff are excellent and provide excellent service. I can’t say the same about the kitchen staff. The room could do with a refresh, but at this price point, it was good value.
