Love Lakefront Retreat
It was a family reunion based around the eclipse that brought us to this area. The beachfront house was exactly what we needed. Plenty of sitting space to visit, the lake just adjacent, lawn for playing, AC worked fine. Highly Recommended!

For those who may…
We liked the house, and the fact that they had a good supply of toilet paper, trash bags, and enough towels for everybody!! Beds were comfortable, the dining tables and counter still and the living room sat all of us! The house is dated mixed with some updates. The game room loft did not have any air, so no one in our group slept there. The layout looks like it was built at different times- laid out with bedrooms inside other bedrooms and the game room entrance through one of the bedrooms. If you have a mold allergy you should not rent this location.

Yearly family vacation
My family, friends and myself were recently here for a week. Upon arrival we met the property manager who was super friendly! Upon entering the house it was very clean! The house had a room/bed for everyone and they were all comfortable. Unfortunately they were a few minor issues that could’ve been fixed with some communication. They had the septic drained while we were at the home, later that day majority of the house was smelling awful. The very next day a worker was measuring windows right outside of someone’s window. The schedule of these maintenance issues should’ve been communicated with our group to help arrange not to be at the property. The docks ladder needs to be fixed not super safe for someone to use. There are steps down into the shallow lake. Great place for kids to play. Overall we would stay again but would love better communication!

Another wonderful family vacation!
This is a very big property with plenty of beds and bathrooms for our big family. The beds are all very comfy! The fishing went well we caught enough keepers for a fish fry, some right from the dock! The screened in area is wonderful ! I want one at home now !! Yes there are some things that need to be addressed, but..it didn't stop this family from having a wonderful time together! Thank you for sharing your property with us !!

Beautiful location on the lake. So so house.
I cannot say enough about how ideal the location and view is. It was terrific. Be prepared for a rambling home with steps up and down. The problem is all the little things that were not working. Lights bulbs were out, switches were in weird locations (although most were labeled). Both sinks in the main bath were stopped up and we had to get a plumber out, which was done very quickly. One door would not open from the outside but would from the inside. There was storm damage and some windows were broken and boarded up. There was a screen door off a hinge and should have been removed. This was all stuff that should have been repaired. The main source of frustration is that I tried several times to contact the property manager several months before we arrived with questions about parking. I could not phone her and she did not answer my text/emails until right before we arrived. We had also arranged to meet someone at the property several months in advance so that we could get an idea of sleeping accommodations for a family reunion and how well the kitchen was stocked. After a two hour drive, we were stood up. After we arrived, she was very quick to answer the questions we had. Parking was an issue. We were able to get 8 or 9 cars inside the gates, but it took some imaginative maneuvering and parking at Possum Hollow. There is a lot of junk in the garage that we were expected to park in. It should be cleaned out if guests are expected to use it. Overall, it was workable.

Lake Time with Family
We came out with a large group of people. We really enjoyed the screened in patio with so much space for cooking and eating, it was just quite warm in the evenings with the sun shining in directly. The kids really loved the water, it was perfect for small children with the steps and the depth! The kitchen was also very spacious with plenty of seating. The bedrooms were a little oddly placed with some being walk throughs to the others, but plenty of beds of everyone! The bathrooms were pretty nice with the exception of one shower not working that was greatly needed. Fishing at the dock was very slow though we caught a few nice sized large mouths! and were able to dock our boat there just fine! The cove was a No Wake Zone so it all felt very peaceful with not much traffic coming through! All in all we had a wonderful time! With some minimal changes like more light bulbs, cleaner doors, maybe some shades in the screen room, it would have been perfect!

A large group of us stayed for a weekend in May and had an incredible time in our third visit. We had trouble with the guest house toilet, but they were very responsive and quickly sent a plumber. We hope to stay again in the future!

It was nice being on the lake, over all house, needs alot of work. Fans don't work, outside kitchen don't work. No toilet paper...... Some lights don't work. TVs didn't work... No phone service.

Holiday Family Retreat
The host was very accommodating and responsive. The house was clean and prepared for our arrival. The place is family friendly. A few areas of the house could benefit from maintenance. The pictures of the rooms were accurate but it could have been helpful to have a layout prior to arrival of the house set-up as some rooms are off of other rooms and join rooms, etc. Overall our family had a wonderful time! Thank you.

We had a large group and everyone had a bed!! It was perfect!! Super clean and great location!! The lake was beautiful!! I love that it has 3 big refrigerators! Plenty of space for all of our food!! This is our second time to stay here!! Will definitely be back!!

Great location
The house fit our family well. (9 adults and 2 babies) Some of the rooms are arranged in a funky way, so there isn’t much privacy in those rooms, but there are lots of beds and places to go. We really enjoyed the game room with the pool table. The location on the lake was great and the dock was perfect for our boat. The house is definitely showing its age with lots of things needing repair and it needs a nice deep clean. We didn’t use the screened in porch area because of the heat, but the house stayed nice and cool. The beds were comfortable. Check in and out was easy. We had a wonderful visit, but would probably try a different house next time.

Did not receive access instructions until after part of our group had been onsite for almost an hour. WiFi is NOT available as advertised. Multiple TVs in very room that cannot be used due to no WiFi. Cannot communicate with host, no landline and no phone service due to…again no WiFi. Could not complete check out procedures As requested because there was no laundry detergent. Landscaping unkept, fire ants in one bedroom. No guest book with instructions, or general information on property. House was not sufficiently clean. It was very expensive, which we were fine with but we’re expecting the experience to be on that level and it most certainly was not. We are regular VRBO renters and this has been our first bad experience.
