Amazing Cozy Lodge!!!
The Lodge:
The lodge is a separate building with a lounge, dining, bar, kitchen area and outside open verandah with braai area. There are four outside lodge rooms each with an en-suite bathroom with their own entrance
The beautiful main lodge is indeed an area that may be enjoyed by all. Guests walk along a wooden pathway to the main lodge. An African artwork piece is positioned at the front entrance. Various buckhorns positioned on a map outline are displayed attractively against the outside wall. Exterior lights are used all along the pathway and are switched on every evening for the guests.
The main lodge consists of a large open plan dining/lounge and bar area with a separate guest toilet and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering purposes. All the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are available to guests.
The dining room is spacious and light due to the large window which has a magnificent view of the mountain. The seating area consists of a large wooden table with two long upholstered benches and a bench. Guests can sit here and enjoy their meals with the view of the farm. A selection of condiments, spreads, cereals, coffees, teas and rusks are provided for the guests. These are displayed on top of the cupboard counter. Steps lead down to the lounge and bar area.
The lounge and bar area are amazing. Two separate seating areas serve as the lounge. The one seating area consists of an upholstered couch, a leather couch, two leather armchairs and a comfortable upholstered armchair. There is a flat screen TV attached to the wall and offers the full DSTV.
An attractive Jet master is positioned in the corner of the room. This creates a warm and cosy atmosphere for those cold evenings. A beautifully carved elephant coffee table is situated in the centre of the lounge. A large stylish chandelier is attached from the ceiling.
The second seating area consists of a built-in corner bench with seat cushions and modern scatter cushions. There are also two comfortable armchairs with floral scatter cushions. Neutral colours with tones of brown, green and turquoise are used to great effect in the two seating areas. Zebra hide mats are placed on the tiled floors. Animal trophies are displayed on the wall, which brings out the hunting theme.
The bar area has a built-in counter with gorgeous tall standing chairs and a fridge. The glass windows at the bar area can open out which are then converted into a counter area for the patio.
Glass doors lead out onto the lovely wooden deck. Patio chairs are available for the guests to sit and relax and truly absorb the breath-taking view of the farm. Built-in braai facilities at the patio, with fire wood and firelighters are available for the guests to use.
All furniture, décor and accessories are amazing and are used to great effect in this area extenuating the “hunters” theme.
Each outside lodge bedroom has its own entrance. All the bedrooms are equipped with wall heaters, a wooden wardrobe and a built-in desk area with a wooden chair, a magazine rack, a
glass jug with drinking water and a hospitality tray. An emergency light and a hair dryer are displayed on the built-in desks of each room. Hot water bottles are displayed on all the beds. Additional warm blankets are provided in the cupboards. The floors in the bedrooms are tiled. Roman Blinds are found on the windows and glass doors of the bedrooms. The wildlife pictures give a special touch to the rooms and blend in well with the hunting theme. All the bedrooms lead out onto the verandah.
Pretty pot plants are displayed on the verandah. The wooden pole railings of the verandah add character to the entrance! The hunting theme radiates throughout the lodge.
The en-suite bathrooms all have a similar design, consisting of a toilet, basin with a mirror above and a large glass door shower. Modern wooden/basket drawers are used for packing space. The bathrooms are spacious and light due to the large windows.
Neutral colours are used with different colour schemes for each bathroom. Toiletries are provided.
