The Blackbush was new, nice and neat. Nothing wrong with the room. The location and view were stellar. Some of the amenities were convenient and a nice touch, like the bike rentals (there’s a national park a short jaunt away), nightly fire, etc. But be prepared for a couple of “non-resort-ish” experiences. 1. The breakfast is only continental and not very thoughtfully stocked. 2. The hot tub, plunge pool and sauna need to be booked in advance. That creates two issues. You need to plan your soaks (which isn’t very easy on such a beautiful island / I.e contradicts “island time”), or when you do feel like a spontaneous soak, you can’t cause it’s booked (but not being used). I trust they’ll fix these issues with time. There’s plenty of space. Would I go back? Yes. Very much so. But I do think they need to course correct their price (or experience delivery) so that the two match.

Lovely place but need to improve staff experience

Brand new hotel very well located, very clean. Staff have lack of experience, my réservation for the restaurant was made on the wrong day. Their was a spa and a pool, but you had to reserve your spot for a maximum of 30 minutes... The spa was at 98 degree and should have been at 104, could not get it up. Breakfast room was awesome, but the setup was not, toaster not working all the time, coffee was cold on our second day

The views were The property is new and clean, but I will not consider this place as luxury resort. The breakfast is similar to what you get at Comfort Inn or Wyndham facility. The location is nice, but it doesn’t have many dining offerings. If you want a quiet place, and don’t mind limited food options, this is the place to be. I think the price point for this hotel is slightly higher than what I would expect as Luxury hotel.

Beautiful resort in a stunning natural setting that showcased the beauty of the island. Excellent experience with all staff especially Calvin and the young man running the outdoor games. We loved the relaxing oasis spa area and the beds were extra comfy! Highly recommend.

Expedia says they have a pool....they dont have a pool! They have this large size jacuzzi that you have to book 30mins time slots. Went with 3 kids hoping for a pool and was disappointed, when asked about why no pool, im pointed in the direction of the beach. Thats great if this resort was located in Mexico but its in PEI with maybe 2 good months of beach weather. Gym is also horrible, small room with too many large machines. Clearly someone who does not go to the gym designed the gym. Staff were nice amd the place is very clean and new looking.

Idillic location

We had an amazing stay at blackbush Beach Resort. We didn’t like the first room we had so we switched to the room at was advertised on Hotels.com. Once we got the room sorted out, the rest was excellent. New and modern resort in a idillic location. Everything was perfect. Surprising so was the continental breakfast. It was healthy, with great selection and awesome coffee.

Property is very nice! Staff are nice and views are great. Just find the hotel slightly too corporate feeling. It doesn’t feel like you are in PEI. Could really be anywhere. Nice hotel however. Beach, land, and well maintained.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property its self was beautiful. A little misleading though, as is it not right on the beach (as advertised on Expedia), but still a super cool location. Also, they do not have a pool, as advertised on Expedia as well. The reason, and this is the only reason (well two reasons), I gave this hotel 4/5 stars overall was because I booked a two bedroom suite with living room through Expedia and we recieved a king sized regular room with a door that opened up to a closet sized room with bunk beds. Definitely not what we paid for at all. So again misleading. We were staying for my birthday, so we decided to splurge, and did not get a suite with a living room as we thought. Also, we were on the first floor and could hear absolutely everything above us. So definitely ask for a room on the top floor if you like peace and quiet.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Blackbush resort. The staff were so friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. We felt so well taken care of. The food was also delicious at Fin - highly recommend their lobster roll, and poutine! We also travelled with our small dog George, and he was as so welcomed, everywhere. It is such a special place, and we will be back!
