What an absolute hidden gem this boutique guest lodge is!! My wife and I were literally blown away with the place. The rooms appear rustic, being constructed of stone, but the interiors, fittings, beds and linen are truly 5-star and real value for money - don't be fooled by the inexpensive rates!
We chose to eat at the Deli in the evening and Jurie cooked us a fantastic meal pre-selected before arrival from a menu he sent. It was truly home from home.
The square kilometer of gardens immediately surrounding the rooms are immaculately kept, with beautiful flower gardens and pagodas set in the several small lakes in the area - an ideal area to relax with a bottle of wine (which you will need to bring along as they are not licensed).
They offer breakfast and various outdoor activities, neither of which we sampled due to time constraints, but I've heard from other travelers that the horse riding, trail running and other activities are really good, and I can believe it!
There is a dirt road accessing the guest lodge which is of a superb quality - we arrived in our landrover, but would have no qualms about traveling it in our low-slung sportscar, albeit at a slower pace.
All in all, we will definitely be back with friends to this spectacular getaway. Having stayed at 13 establishments around the country over the last month's road trip, this is one of two establishments I will unreservedly recommend :).
