Loved the location, just 15 minutes from downtown Greenville but quiet and peaceful. It's not easy to access the lakefront, the backyard is marshy and there's not a clear path, but if you do make it through, it's gorgeous. We enjoyed morning coffee sitting on the rocks.
The house is large, the beds are comfortable, the fireplace is cozy, the kitchen is well stocked, and the view of the lake is beautiful. It's hard to overstate the amount of taxidermy in the home; there are moose, deer, fox, and bear for a start. It was pretty intense for me but hey, if that's your thing, you'll love it here.
We'd definitely stay here again, but we did have an issue with not receiving check-in instructions in a reasonable amount of time. I had to reach out to the host, tried text and phone with no answer, sent a message through the VRBO app and eventually started looking for other places to stay, when she responded well after check in time. Luckily we were arriving pretty late so we didn't end up in a pickle. Other than that, we were puzzled by the lack of bath soap or toiletries, but thankfully I happened to have some with me.
