Our check in was quick, but the front desk staff was less than pleasant - there was zero customer service and it almost felt like we were a bother/interrupting them. All of the luggage cards are busted and broken.
Our room was filthy- the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in multiple places, our phone did not work (we had to walk downstairs each time we needed something), the sliding glass door did not close unless we put all of our force in to it, we booked an oceanfront room and got a partial oceanfront view room, the hotel was dirty, the pools were dirty and appeared as though they had not been cleaned in a long time.
The hotel has a small movie theater where they were playing movies every 2-3 hours and we opted for a 3p movie with our kids. When the movie prior to ours ended, we assumed (because it was scheduled and posted outside for guests to see) that the movie would be started by a staff member. Nope. I had to hunt down 2 employees to start the movie, to no avail. They couldn't figure out how to work the TV & remote. When brought to the attention of guest services, we were told we should have told someone in the Kid Center we were there for the movie (which again, was mind boggling to us considering there was a posted movie schedule). They told us that "sometimes they get busy in Kid Center so we need to request them to play the movie - BUT, there wasn't one kid in the Kid Center.
We will not return as this was more of a frustrating visit than a relaxing visit.
