Hotel is not maintained. Had to change rooms twice due mold grow on shower ceiling and smell in the other room. After 3rd one is ok. Carpeting is wormed out. Thermostat is loose of the wall shower door handle is loose. Just lack of maintenance.

NO HOUSEKEEPING my entire six night, seven day stay. Had to constantly ask for clean towels and paper products. Sand all over the room, garbage pails overflowing, and wet, moldy bathroom towels. Popcorn all over the hotel. Unvaccumed carpeting throughout. And not enough lounge chairs at the pool.

We stayed here 13 years and the property was so much better. The patio door was very hard to close. The carpet throughout was stained and horrible; there were no carts available to haul our luggage. When we visited 13 years, we were impressed with the Holiday Inns rebrand and refreshed so much so, when traveling, I selected this hotel as a top choice. We even joined the vacation club. The next time, we will not visit this hotel in VA Beach!

Near the North end of the boardwalk with convienant access to the beach and beach chair rentals. End of August was a quiet time, less populated. Nothing exciting about the hotel. Negative room quality, the ceiling was peeling and dropped white plaster over beds and desk and floors. Not great at all.

Positives: pool on site, just steps from the beach, staff was helpful and polite, the Isle of Capri Restaurant was excellent, our room had a very nice view of the ocean beach and pool, walking distance to Coffee and other restaurants Negatives: the entire facility needs updating and we saw posted notices that this will happen in October. When that is done, this place is going to be amazing. Our room was two doors from the street. It seemed to be a race track for ninja motorcycles till about 10:30 every night.

Overall I enjoyed my stay it was a few things I didn’t like about my room had trash inside my ice bucket, plus the cabinet to where my refrigerator was stored was broken. The room was in poor condition and clearly in need of renovation. The ceiling had visible spots and was shedding white particles onto the floor. It was noisy, especially since there was a kitchen above us, and even after being moved to another room, the same issues persisted. The overall cleanliness was disappointing—dirty elevators, unpainted ceilings, and a balcony door that didn’t lock properly. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience, and I will not be returning.
